I happen to have similar glasses (I had them first!), and the same square jawline, and I'm around the same body type as hers.

I'm not sure I see the resemblance, really, but I take it as a compliment - especially since the comments have been qualified, like, "you look like a less severe, more relaxed Sarah Palin." I never have my hair in anything approaching her elaborate 'dos, and I don't wear anything close to that much makeup. I'm also a deade younger, I guess that helps.

My mom was very liberal (maybe even pinko -- she volunteered for Henry Wallace in 1948) and raised five kids with the help of my Republican father. And when I was in college in 1980, I lusted for a redheaded Reagan Republican. Mary and I liked each other a lot and the competing political views made it all more sexy -- not less.
But these Republicans were very intelligent people. If someone is smart and fun, I'm very likely to get along with them just fine. I DO have several Republican friends, after all.
So, under those conditions, yeah, I guess I'd find her attractive.
