OK, the stiff on MSNBC just announced that the Ohio Newspaper poll showed McCain ahead 49 to 46.

THAT IS WRONG! It is Obama 49 and McCain 46.

Can we get them to change this too?

Geez. What is wrong with the liberal elite MSM?????

And OK, I think this is a lame first post. I always thought it would be one of my nicely written and well thought out points. But oh well...

7. The Dispatch links to the correct numbers. MSNBC is the one that screwed it up.

2. It's just one poll
I have done some research on the "polls" and any Tom, Dick or Harry now considers themselves qualified to conduct a survey. Because these people do not understand the science of polling, their results are highly suspect. Asking a question one way or another, the method of selecting the targets, etc. all impacts the results. I only trust the Poll of Polls which is an amalgamation of a number of well-known polls.

Plus, we all knew that Ohio would be a challenge. I suspect this could go down to the wire in Ohio. We need to continue to fight in Ohio and I think we can still pull it out but we can still win without Ohio.

I do not care about one poll. I was just pissed that MSNBC switched the results.

13. The poll is done in concert with the major newspapers in Ohio...
http://blog.cleveland.com/openers/2008/10/ohio_poll.html

Ohio voters, wrong only twice when picking the president in the last 108 years, remain nearly split over their choice for the White House, according to a new Ohio Newspaper Poll.

But while the race remains a statistical dead heat, more voters are siding with Democratic Sen. Barack Obama, who has erased Republican Sen. John McCain's previous lead in the Buckeye State and now holds a 3-point advantage, 49 percent to 46 percent.

The poll, when compared with the two previous Ohio Newspaper Polls, suggests the Illinois senator has momentum on his side.

The latest poll of 886 likely voters, conducted Oct. 18-22, also asked Ohioans their views on the Iraq war and national security, issues where McCain holds an advantage. But with the economic crisis eclipsing all other issues, especially in Ohio, Obama has been able to keep the race focused on pocketbook issues, to his benefit.
