How much would YOU save? (super cool)
Really cool tax cut calculator. We'd save $1536 with this plan, versus $344.00 with McLame's plan.
HOW MUCH WOULD YOU SAVE???

4. I would save more than $1,000 a year on Obama's plan, $0 on McCain's.

5. $1000 for us.
And that's huge, and that's also without deducting college expenses (because I didn't have any this year).

10. I know. And I'm not even sure what other deductions we have.
We don't have a mortgage anymore. Just two kids. And we're not exactly on the poverty line either. But we are definitely under $100K. We'd get $500 on McCain's plan which is still not horrible, but I'll happily double it. LOL

7. We save exactly...
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 03:32 PM by Hans Delbrook
$0

:patriot:

And you know what - that's just fine w/ me! I make a good living and so does my husband and as someone once said - our taxes pay for civilization.

ETA: That's $0 under either plan BTW. We aren't quite rich enough for McCain to give a f*&% about us.

20. I would save very little, but I would definitely save!
My husband and I are very fortunate, and we have chosen not to have children. Therefore, our savings would be minimal, but we also believe that our country should not be run by whoever will cater to our darkest, most greedy beliefs.

"Taxes are what we pay for a civilized society." That's a pretty famous quote on the IRS building in Washington, DC. I resent paying taxes to Bush to finance his greedy, petty little war, but I will happily pay taxes in an Obama administration. I believe that when the President is noble, paying taxes is patriotic. It is not patriotic right now, since Bush chooses to use our taxes to finance murder and oil monopolies. Under Obama, it will be much more fair.

This choice for me isn't about who will save me the most money. I am highly fortunate and pray that I will continue to be fortunate in the coming years. It's about who will do the right thing. While I understand that for many shallow, greedy, horrid Republicans their decision is made based on who the politician is who will make them pay the least for running this great country, I hate that it comes to that. I hate that elections are about "who will save money". Patriotic people are about "what makes America the greatest". In that arena, greedy asinine, ignorant, hateful Republicans lose every time.

Oh, and fuck you, "Joe" the (illegitimate and unlicensed) plumber.
