“She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone”
Edited on Sat Oct-25-08 01:46 PM by Secret_Society
That's what a McCain adviser had to say about Sarah Palin. The McCain campaign is falling apart at the seams. I think a great anecdotal way to predict on election is to look at the campaigns. It seems time and again the campaign that produces the most stories about internal contention lose. A similar thing occurred in the HRC campaign. Whether this is product or a cause of a failing campaign I'm not sure, but it is reassuring to see how cohesive the Obama team is.

Of all the things about Palin that scare, it is her blind ambition and hunger for power that scare me the most. She is now throwing the McCain campaign under the bus, prepping for 2012.

Check out this question asked of Republicans, looking ahead to the 2012 election:

If John McCain is not elected president, which one of the following three possible candidates would you be most likely to support for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012?

Mitt Romney 35%
Mike Huckabee 26%
Sarah Palin 20%

16. I can see Jeb in 2016
but if Obama's presidency is a success then the Republicans are doomed. Brian Schweitzer in 2016 would easily defeat Jeb Bush.

17. Oh please let it be
Can you imagine if that were to happen? The negatives and just having the name "Bush" this close to the abysmal failure the last 8 years have been, one has to think that Jeb has some sort of love for being abused and getting beat.

20. I don't get it. Do the Repubs actually think we'll forget what 2 Bush presidencies have been like?
Why in the hell do they think the general public would vote for another Bush anytime during this generation?

13. after what she's done to McCain's campaign
it's hard to believe the repubs would give her the nod. But it would be funny if they did ...

15. If the Repubs split then Sarah may be the leader of the
Reich wing, racist fringe Republicans and the other groups will find someone else.

18. Bingo!
That's basically what happened this time. Too bad the IQ-challenged haven't figured out there aren't enough foaming fundies to pull out a win. Thank goodness.

19. Been wondering about that, re: Karl's 'math' and his
invisible majority of Ohio voters.

Anyone think maybe ole Karl didn't give up the keys to the fraud machine, and the McCain guys really thought they needed that 'overwhelming' yet invisible fundie grassroots which only existed inside Ohio's vote tabulators? Might explain the goofy 'rev-up-the-base' at the expense of the undecideds approach.

2. This isn't surprising to me,
knowing how Sarah is. What made McCain think that all that "standing up against her own party" wouldn't apply to him, as well? After all, it's what got her to Alaska's governor's mansion.

11. They smile in your face, all the time they wanna take your place - the backstabbers
Backstabbers!

From all I've read - and David Talbot, owner of Salon, has made sure there's plenty to read - backstabbing defines Sarah Palin more than any other quality.

3. Wow Caribou on the loose ....
“She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone,” said this McCain adviser, “she does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else. Also she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: divas trust only unto themselves as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom.”

22. Diva = Malignant Narcissist
They may call her a diva, but she is really a malignant narcissist.

She is all about Sarah and Sarah only.

12. I beg to differ
IMO, I believe that she is tightly controlled by people working through her husband.
She has no allegiance to the Republican party or this country.
Eventually, the charade will be exposed.

21. She is delusional!
She blames McCain's people for her trouble in the media, not her weak performance and embarrassing lack of knowledge.
