Early voting in South Florida. People can't get enough.

The Broward County call center (you dial 311 for county services) gives out waiting times for early voting centers. I tried to vote on Monday, the first day for early voting, and the wait was about 5 hours. I called them today and it was about 3 hours near me. The operator offered to look at other centers. He couldn't find one less than 2 hours! I hear that waits in Miami are even longer.

Then he said he really want to get out and vote too. Though no particular candidate was mentioned, we both knew who we were talking about. BTW, the Republicans cut back on available voting hours for this cycle. They hate voters.

It will be great when Obama takes Florida.

1. 35 minutes is all

I voted this a.m. in Miami/Dade at the Aventura City Hall. We got there at 7:00 am and waited approximately 35 minutes. Not bad at all.

Miami polls open early but close at 3.

In Broward, the polls open at 10.
