TEXAS NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Have you ever heard of Big Bad John?

That's John Cornyn's nickname for himself. Cornyn is one of our senators in Texas, and he definitely IS bad. He is an enemy to the environment, wants to drill in ANWR, voted to change the Constitution to define marriage between a man and woman, continually supports Bush in bad times and worse, and accepted $4 million from the financial industry before voting for the $700 billion bailout for them.

Here's Big Bad John's ridiculous campaign commercial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IA4DiZasp2U

This year we have a chance to get rid of this "cowboy" by electing Democrat Rick Noriega. He's a former Lieutenant Colonel in the Texas National Guard, served in Afghanistan, and has served five terms in the Texas House of Representatives. He's only down a few points in the polls, and needs money to get his ads on the air!

If you have anything left to give after the incredible Tinklenberg $1 million event, please go to Rick Noriega's contribution page and help him out a little. With your help, we can turn Texas blue, and get another Democrat in the Senate!
https://secure.actblue.com/contribute/page/ricknoriega?refcode=takeaction

Thanks from Texas!!!

5. Rick Noriega's website
http://ricknoriega.com/home

Rick is an excellent replacement and an answered prayer to defeating Cornyn.

He was in Dallas last week with Bill Clinton and Bill mentioned that Hillary was a strong supporter of Rick and has been trying to get the DCCC to donate money to his campaign. I don't understand why Hillary can't get them to listen to her.

Last time I checked Rick was only down by 6% in the polls. If Rick can win the election he will only be a Junior Senator for a couple of years, since Kay Bailey Hutchison will be leaving to run for Governor in 2010.

11. He's still a Lt Col in the Texas National Guard
In fact, he has been called to duty a couple of times during this campaign. When Hurricane Ike came through last month, he was back in uniform for a week or so.

Rick is a great guy, I've met him at several campaign events. I'm not absolutely sure he remembers my name, but I know he recognizes me when he sees me.

Cornyn is a complete loser. He rubber-stamps everything the shrub wants and has the nerve to blame "Washington" as our problem in his ads. I yell at the tv every time I see one of them. His ads try to make it sound like he has not been voting at least 95% of the time with shrub, when we all know he has.

Like I told my Democratic club the other night "Everyone put those positive thoughts out into the universe that Obama is going to win, and his coattails will be long enough, and people are mad enough that we SWEEP the whole ballot - The White House to the Court House!"

Reports say that voters were *taking pictures* of themselves with poll greeters who had Obamagear/local Dem candidate-gear at some of the polling sites today...in our once-upon-a-time-now-not-so-much neon red county!!
