AP presidential poll: All even in the homestretch.
http://comments.breitbart.com/d93vm4po0/

I know some people are not into negative news, but I find this shit hilarious.

like this comment: "My God is still in control..and He will answer the prayers of his faithful!"

oh man I wouldn't want to know this person on Nov. 5th.

1. Sigh:
"Obama and McCain were essentially tied among likely voters in the latest George Washington University Battleground Poll, conducted by Republican strategist Ed Goeas and Democratic pollster Celinda Lake. In other surveys focusing on likely voters, a Washington Post-ABC News poll showed Obama up by 9 percentage points, while a poll by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center had Obama leading by 14. A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll, among the broader category of people registered to vote, found Obama ahead by 10 points."

From the same article...

3. Believers in that god should be treated the same way Soviet soldiers treated the Mujahideen...
That god is not the father of Jesus Christ; that god, should it exist, is the demiurge. Whether you imagine the demiurge to be YHWH, Satan, or something else entirely is irrelevant: It is the enemy.

5. Am I the only one who sees that Obama is up ten points, and five by registered voters?
Seriously? I don't buy the "likely voter" shit.

7. Me neither
How can one judge who is a likely voter? We cannot just simply judge from previous elections because these are unprecedented times and people are hungry for change. More than ever people understand the importance of going out and vote.

9. I don't understand why they all just don't go by registered voter--because you can't

vote unless you're registered, regardless of what your intentions might be. And like you said, it's hard to make "intentions" and "motivations" scientific, especially this year.

8. AP Poll already TWO days old, other polls showing surge for Obama 1 day old
just look at RCP. AP Poll is not that reliable, 800 sample, high >2.5% error. Sorry AP.

11. Several key points for DUrs to see in this
1. It's a poll covering the debate night through the powell endorsement, meaning it's from the time where all the emphasis was on Joe the Plumber and the "mccain come back." Mccain had a slight surge in his figures during that weekend.

2. The overall survey results show a 10 point lead for Obama, but they buried that fact deep in the article for whatever reason.

3. The headline emphasizes a "likely voter" method result which somehow turned a 10 point overall lead into a 1 point lead. The explanation is possibly that they basically removed or decreased the weighting of younger voters, with the assumption that they do not turn out. They also may have decreased the weighting of democrats who said they were only "somewhat" excited to vote, perhaps because they are in states like CA and NY. On the flip side, Mccain may have gained stronger weighting based on the relative excitement among his base during those days and thus the highest levels of "excitement" to vote.

4. Overall, surveys indicate that only 25% of Mccain's supporters are very excited about him. All the momentum and excitement is in Obama's camp... and what's most important at this point is to just get folks out to vote.
