Just 14 days until this HELL is over.
Only 14 more days of John McLame's daily smears and lies! I can't wait.

1. I feel the same way. It's like a never ending torture.
I wish the vote was tomorrow.

6. I'm in double hell.
Waiting for the election to be over and for Obama to win is driving me crazy, and when that isn't occupying my thoughts, I'm waiting for our new house to be finished -- the past several months have been nothing but house, house, house, house, house...

Planning the new house, upgrading the old house for sale, staging the old house for sale, moving stuff out of the old house in several stages to an apartment and storage before and after selling the old house, living in a crappy apartment with noisy upstairs neighbors that we're desperate to escape, checking in on the new house nearly daily to make sure things don't get screwed up (and we've had plenty of things starting to go wrong to catch along the way), endless selections of materials, patterns, colors, styles to rush through, etc.

We're now on the edge of our metaphorical seats as the last few details drag out, never quite getting done as fast as we'd hope, one thing holding up the next as dates for completion keep slipping.... still no gas hook up, still no water hook up, driveway not paved yet... but maybe tomorrow or the day after... maybe... aarrrrggghhhh!!!!!

I'm desperately hoping to be in the new house before the election. That's beginning to look a little questionable now, but it's still possible at least. I was hoping to be settled in a couple of weeks ago so I could spend some time helping out with the election, but that's hard to do under our current circumstances.

I want to watch the election in my new house, and finally go to sleep in my own bed in my own house after hearing the words, "President Elect Obama", and maybe finally get a sound night's sleep.

7. 14 days until...
We have to listen to 30 days of McCain challenging every swing state vote.

I doubt highly that he's going to just slip off quietly on Nov. 5th. He's been laying the groundwork, along with the RNC, to pull a 2000 and open challenges and recounts. Even in the face of a landslide, I expect him to spend a solid month after the election challenging votes and trying to get them thrown out.
