These are hard times to be a socialist in America. And not just because there's a bourgeois-bloated Starbucks on every other corner, thumbing its capitalist nose at the proletariat.

No, it's tough these days because you've got politicians on the right, the same guys who just helped nationalize the banking system, derisively and inaccurately calling the presidential candidate on the left a socialist. That's enough to make Karl Marx harumph in his grave.

1. The fact that McCain/Palin would dare characterize Obama as a socialist shows that

they don't truly understand what a socialist is. Pretty pitiful for a bunch of people aspiring for the highest office of the land.

2. As a Marxist, I'm insulted that they've compared us to Socialists. Socialists are weak!!

They apply the forebearings of a Capitalist system amongst their bastardization of Marxism. Shame on them. Socialists are as far being Marxists as Obama is to being a Socialist (he has better sense than that).
