3. Actually, up 10 (54 to 44) according to RCP...

If you follow his performance during the primary, I think it is actually likely Obama will exceed expectations in Virginia but underperform in Ohio. But we don't need Ohio if we get VA.

7. This is true. Missouri is also looking good.
I am from Ohio, and I don't like to totally bash my home state, but after seeing thousands of people in that state lose their jobs, if they go red because some psycho religious zealot moose-killer thinks Obama is a terrorist, I'm writing them off for good.

15. RASMUSSEN poll is old (10/16)...SUSA is newer...
Virginia is probably tightening now.....

It appears that many of these RED states that look BLUE will flip back to McCain...Ohio, VA, Florida, Missouri. NC, i believe will see undecided republican men "come home" and vote republican......that being said, Obama needs the Kerry states + 18 more electoral votes.....he can get those from New Mexico, Iowa, and Colorado....although Colorado is tightening a bit too, I believe.

The only electoral path for McDope is to take NC, Virginia, Ohio, Missouri, Florida, Nevada, and Colorado. He needs ALL of these to win assuming Obama takes the KERRY states + New Mexico and Iowa....( a pretty sure bet here)

8. "Cuts lead to 6"? That's not much of a cut
Even a 6 point lead in Virginia is huge.

9. Why it is so hard to believe that?

I believe (from what I see at work) that undecided voters are those who would never vote for Obama for whaever reason including being a Democrat. They also think they should not be forced to vote for Mcain because he isn't one of them (all the undecided at work are hardcore Republicans who hate Mcain). Once they go casting their vote they will do so by closing their eyes, vote for Mcain and then go home to either vomit, take a cold shower or both.

I think undecided votes will go for Mcain. But that's just me.

13. A six-point lead for Obama in a state that has gone red since 1964 isn't bad news.

14. P.S. also reverse Bradley effect--11% of blacks voting for McCain? I doubt it.
