The Palin SNL "rap." (transcript)
Edited on Sun Oct-19-08 12:20 AM by Clio the Leo
Here it is in all of it's glory! I decided to transcribe this because it's not exactly the kind of material I'd want out there if *I* were John McCain. And Youtube wont let it stay up long enough for anyone to see.

Gotta hand it to her for sittin' through that. .......... NOT!

Now, do you all believe that the REAL reason Barack didn't go on SNL BEFORE the election was because of the hurricane? That's what I call "a convenient excuse!" The man ain't stupid. ;)

(note: Palin did not say these lines, Amy Phoeler said them "for her.")

1, 2, 3

My name is Sarah Palin
You all know me,
Vice-Prezzy nominee,
of the GOP.

Gonna need ya vote,
In the next election.
Can I get a "woot woot!"
From the senior section.

McCain got experience.
McCain got style.
But don't let him creep you out,
When he drops that smile.
'Cause that smile be creepy!
But when I'm VP,
All the leaders of the world gonna FINALLY meet me.

Jeremiah Wright,
'Cause tonight I'm the preacher,
I got a bookish look,
And you're all hot for teacher.

Todd lookin' fine on his snowmachine,
So hot for each other,
He the "go-between."

In Wasilla,
We just chill, baby, chilla,
But when I see oil it's
"Drill baby! Drilla!"

My country tis of the Thee,
From my porch I can see,
Russia and such.....

All the mavericks in the house put your hands up,
All the mavericks in the house put your hands up,
All the plumbers in the house pull your pants up,
All the plumbers in the house pull your pants up!

When I say "Obama" you say "Ayers!"
Obama!
Ayers!
Obama!
Ayers!
I built me a bridge, it ain't goin' nowhere!

McCain/Palin, gonna put the nail in
The coffin of the media elite!
(she likes red meat!)
Shoot a mother humpin' moose 8 days of the week!

(shoots someone dressed in a moose costume)

Now ya dead!
Now ya dead 'cause I'm an animal!
And I'm bigger than you!
Hold that shotgun,
Rockin the pump.
Everybody party,
We're goin' to hunt!

la la la la la la laaaaaaa

(shoots at the audience)

Yo I'm Palin and I'm out!

12. It was absolutely jaw-dropping to me.
There she was, the GOP Vice Presidential nominee, sitting there doing the raise-the-roof while the cast members mocked her to her face. Simply stunning.

Is she really just stupid? I mean, who on earth would've agreed to that? If you were a Hollywood star, you'd fire your agent over that script. But she sat there and let them do it. WTF???

45. I loved the rap .... Amy smacked it down good ...
Kinda weird having this little white pregnant lady prancing about the stage, rapping AGAINST Palin, shooting the moose .... all while Palin did her little desk dance ...

I thought it was hilarious, and very pointed ...

Delish ...

Todd as a go between?

Getting a "woot woot" from the senior section?

Talking about McCain's creepy smile?

She's got a hot look and everybody's hot for teacher?

From her porch she can see Russia and such (and such? Miss South Carolina?)

All the leaders of the world would FINALLY meet her?

She raised the roof when they pulled the maverick shit out?

Bustin' three caps in Bullwinkle's ass?

And it wasn't "Peace out".

32. The irony is....
His sermons are critical of the federal government. Republicans want to eliminate the federal government as much as possible in favor of more state power (at least on paper that's what they'll say their platform stands for). So, in a really weird sense, the guy is espousing values that the Republican party should hold near and dear to its heart. Yet all they want to talk about is how he "hates white people", which has no basis in reality. Somebody please tell me when loving the federal government became patriotic.

10. The Palin SNL "rap." (w/ corrections)
Thanks for posting this so fast! I found the video clip on HuffPo, and made a few corrections and added the Eskimo bit. This should be exactly correct:

of the GOP.

Gonna need ya vote,
In the next election.
Can I get a "wutt wutt!"
From the senior section.

McCain got experience.

When he tries to smile.
'Cause that smile be creepy!
But when I'm VP,
All the leaders in the world gonna finally meet me.

How's it go, Eskimo...
(Eskimo!)
Tell me tell me what you know, Eskimos...
(Eskimos!)
How you feel Eskimo?
(Ice cold!)
Tell me tell me what you feel Eskimo
(Supah cold!)

I'm Jeremiah Wright,
'Cause tonight I'm the preacher,
I got a bookish look,
And you're all hot for teacher.

Todd lookin' fine on his snowmachine,
So hot for each other,
He the "go-between."

14. As I wrote elsewhere on the board, that was the funniest part of the show.
Amy Poehler hit it out of the park. Palin sat there while they skewered everything about her and McCain. And she didn't do anything about it.

Although, the skit at the first of the show was rather interesting as well. Alec Baldwin actually had the privilege of doing what a lot of us would have loved to do: tell her to her face what a horrible woman she is.

39. Yes, I did.
But Stephen Baldwin has had a roller-coaster ride of a career before he turned into a fundie. I think he was the one who went to "Celebrity Rehab" not too long ago and stalked off the show.

That too should be noted.

15. Are you sure about the "go-between" lyric?
Edited on Sun Oct-19-08 04:08 AM by krkaufman
What would that mean? "he the 'go-between'"?

I heard it as, "So hot for each other, need a go-between." Which makes sense, as a go-between would provide a buffer -- but would also then be a reference to the Nat. Enq. rumors of Palin having an affair w/ Todd's business partner.

edit: p.s. Otherwise, the corrected lyrics seem right on, except for 3 blams when she whacks the faux moose, and the last line is "We're goin' on a/the hunt"

18. I am positive.....
... "go-between" was a reference to Todd using Palin's office to pressure the State Trooper to be fired. Since they're smart enough to know that SHE couldn't do it personally, Todd acted on her behalf .... he was the go-between.

Perhaps the most scurrilously declicious part of the whole song.

36. OK, interesting interpretation of the motive for "go-between"; funny..
... but it doesn't make sense in the overall line.

"SO HOT FOR EACH OTHER, HE THE GO-BETWEEN"

"SO HOT FOR EACH OTHER, NEED A GO-BETWEEN"

22. blams, "a hunt"
Otherwise, the corrected lyrics seem right on, except for 3 blams

Actually, there are a whole lot more "blams" beside the two I mentioned at two points. Didn't want to muddy the transcript with excess filler, just for sound effects.

the last line is "We're goin' on a/the hunt"

Could be "to," could be "a," definitely not "the." More likely "a" to fulfill true rap pidgin English. Tried to edit, can't now.

30. Ms. Palin doesn't have government-smarts, but she has street-smarts.
She knew EXACTLY what she was doing. She was not "clueless." She was hilarious -- and she totally earned her pop-culture cred (which ALL politicos must have now) by putting her hands in the air while they mocked her six feet away. She was completely in on the joke, laughing at herself, and helping SNL mock her image. The fact that she said, "I'm not going to do the skit you wrote" ... very funny ... mocking her own unwillingness to "answer the questions your're asking."

There is no way in hell she'd go on there and not know EXACTLY what was happening in that skit. No EFFING way. She doesn't know any of the things she needs to know to run the U.S. government, but the woman has street smarts.

Still hate the woman and everything she stands for. She's a lousy VP pick, a Fundie Neocon, a liar and a hypocrite ... BUT, she did a good job on SNL. I never doubted she'd do fine ... she was a TV broadcaster, and is comfy in front of the camera. I know our hatred of her won't let us think so, but she had a successful performance on SNL.

And I want Jason Sudakis to return as Todd in the Snow-Machine" Suit. HILARIOUS!

And I want to know what she and Alec Baldwin said to each other right after he took her arm and walked off camera. I'm just DYING to know!

I don't imagine that SNL's cast or writers were happy about Palin being there. I think she was foisted upon them. Should they have been "deferential" toward her? I don't think so.

Amy Poehler was fantastic, and Palin obviously had no idea what was going on.
