According to a poll commissioned by the Florida Times-Union and South Florida Sun Sentinel, readers were leaning toward Barack Obama 49% over John McCain's 45%.

2. 4-5 points in Florida. That's more or less consistent with what we've been seeing and honestly

6. state polls lag behind the national trend
but they'll catch up. Expect to see a tighter race in the battlegrounds next week.
