I'm not impressed with the Washington Post endorsement of Obama.
The Washington Post supports every rotten right-wing idea.

They consider Social Security too generous.

They urged the confirmation of Roberts and Alito to the Supreme Court.

They're against Net Neutrality.

And every 4 years, the Washington Post endorses the Democratic candidate for president to give their right-wing editorials more credibility.

4. Yeah, why didn't they just endorse McCain?
And what's with all these conservatives coming out for Obama? And think of all the former Bush voters who may be voting for Obama. We don't need any of them!

9. I understand WHY you feel this way, but this is a LEGITIMATE post and those who ignore
the overall agenda of the WaPost do so at the left's peril. They don't call it Spook Central because of clever Halloween decorations.

7. Atrios puts it this way:
"There really was never any doubt about who Fred Hiatt's gang would endorse. The best way to push your center-right agenda is to pretend it's actually a center-left agenda. That's been the racket for as long as I can remember."

8. This is EXACTLY RIGHT - WaPost was FOR Scooter Libby getting a break, and against discussing
Downing Street Memos, but they always manage to endorse the Dem they spend most of their ink TRASHING before the election. WaPost actually treated Swifts as if they had legitimate gripes against Kerry making it a he said-they said story instead of dealing with just the FACTS ON RECORD.

12. It's better than a McCain endorsement. But it IS a right-wing paper.
Have no doubt about that. It wants a "centrist" cover for its neo-liberal economics and neo-conservative foreign policy.
