Say it ain`t so, Joe.
Joe the Plumber. National press conference. Am I missing something here? What`s next? Sarah Palin spinning the wheel on The Price Is Right and aquealing over her new gas grill? I`m digging around the sofa cushions looking for spare change while mainstream media...The Last Word In Sunday Talk...wastes time on Joe the Plumber? If this isn`t a Roto Rooter moment, I don`t know what is.

There is some real honest-to-goodness pain in my state. Sky-high cordwood, sky-high tuition payments, sky-high pork chops, sky-high light bills, sky-high everything. Older folks are selling their homes, giving up their last days of independence, just to stay afloat. Everything is for sale: snowmobiles, boats, trucks, cars, horses, motorcycles, log splitters, lawnmowers. It ain`t pretty and it ain`t easy.

Haven`t Bush supporters like Joe had enough? Aren`t they gagging by now? Aren`t they on their knees sobbing over all the death and maiming in Iraq and Afghanistan? Don`t they wonder what happened to all the stuff we used to manufacture? Aren`t they sad about our homeless children? The veterans with life-changing nightmares? The former home owners now bankrupt because of Cancer or a job shipped to India?

Mainstream media, with very few exceptions, shouldn`t be allowed to interview anybody, not one more person until they do some soul-searching. Why in the hell would the media spend a single minute on this Joe guy when they`re unwilling to interview even one family living in their car? I`m truly fed up.

Thanks for waking me from the daze and bringing my thoughts back to what is really important.

No More Joe(s)! Unless we're talking Joe Biden of course!!!
