The Republican committee has been consistently outraised by its Democratic counterpart and, as the political environment has worsened for the GOP in recent weeks, several Republican senators that appeared safe -- Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and Saxby Chambliss (Ga.) to name two -- have suddenly appeared more vulnerable."

6. I'm in Louisiana.
So far, I've had two poll calls.

I let the caller know in no uncertain terms that I was a proud liberal Democrat. I told him, I pity this state if the Republicans win in our local election.

He responded,
"Mam, I've received similar responses to most of my calls."

That was a pleasant surprise.
