After all, it worked so well to pray for George W. Bush. :spray:
http://prayformccainpalin.com/aboutus.htmlBack in 1999, a group of us from FreeRepublic.com got together and began praying for what was then candidate George W. Bush. We felt that it was particularly important to pray for the candidate that we believed most reflected biblical values such as life, justice, and freedom; and, honestly, at that time we probably would not have started a movement to pray for candidate Gore. Since that time, we have watched as our prayers were answered with President Bush becoming President. Our nation being kept relatively free from harm's way. Supreme Court Justices that will reflect not try to rewrite the constitution being put into power. And so much more. Has the Bush administration been perfect? No. But nobody expects them to. What we have prayed for is that he would have God's wisdom and would use it as he governs.
Now, as the baton is about to be passed from President Bush to another man, diverteach from Free Republic suggested that a prayer thread be started for Sarah Palin, the courageous governor of Alaska and the Republicans Vice Presidential candidate. We believe on this site that once again, John McCain and Sarah Palin best represent the biblical values that we cherish and wish to preserve. Therefore, we are starting this website, the day after McCain announced Palin as his running mate and will continue to update it along the way - even after, God willing, Senator McCain becomes "President-Elect" McCain.
What happens if McCain loses? If McCain should lose this election, it is my wish that all who are drawn here would continue to pray for an Obama administration. Whoever holds that office will need the sovereignty of God overshadowing them because it is a very dangerous world that we live in - too dangerous to go without the prayer cover of God.
