Affixing the blame for current crisis

Paul Krugman's Nobel Prize in Economics goes a long-way toward lending credence that it is mostly "Bush's fault".

Much in the same way that Gore's Nobel Peace Prize gave him more standing in the world (and U.S.) public opinion on the climate crisis, Krugman's award solidifies and gives more credence to the theories that rampant Reaganism/Bushism created the current crisis.

The far right lassez-faire Republicans like to paint Krugman as a "kook" to discount his criticisms of Bush's economic policies.

Those charactarizations will fall on more and more deaf ears now.

When Krugman goes on the Sunday morning talk shows over the next months and years and is introduced as "Nobel Prize Winning Economist Paul Krugman".... well... to put it in the language of my teenage nephew.... his shit will get taken seriously.

1. GOP didn't buy control of broadcast media in the 80s and 90s for public to know the truth about

what Republican policies were doing to this country and the world. They bought it to destroy any who would speak AGAINST their fascist agenda - Gore, Kerry, Krugman, et al. A category 5 hurricane in 2005 left their curtain in tatters so the public COULD begin to see behind it - and the emperor was naked atop a crumbling house of cards.
