1. They all seemed to feel the writing was on the wall
Will didn't even bring up his argument of divided government this week. The concern seemed to be more about McCain redeeming his image so that his reputation isn't permanently tarnished by the campaign he's run.

2. Krugman: "The Democrats dream has been to be able to run against
Herbert Hoover, and it has now happeened." (paraphrased)

That was a great line.

4. Chris Matthews panel also unanimously positive for Obama now too
The panel members emphasized that although the economy moves voters to Dems, Obama has displayed both the personality and temperament needed to win and that the debates were crucial in showing his reasonable calm and respectful demeanor in contrast to the McCain frantic fearmongering. They said what I had been hoping, that the more Americans see and hear Obama, the more they like and trust him.

5. Yep. And, they said even a middle east catastrophy wouldn't be enough to pull it back to
Gramp's side. "You can't overstate the importance of the economy."

I have no idea which one it is but it's a prominent one.

I can only imagine what he's saying and how desperate he appears to be.

8. I don't like that "Election Over" talk. Gives a false impression ..........
they we don't need to keep the intensity going. The last thing we need is people thinking Obama has this won and they sit home on Election Day.

12. Faux News sunday: Pawlenty, the wannabe VP. forced to defend Gramps
who rejected him.

All he had was "Gramps will close the gap in polls because of his experience, maturity, blah blah"...Toothless. Which is why Gramps didn't use him. He's blah.

Not discussing winning this election. So that's the tacet admission that it's over. Instead, they're talking about haveing the entire government on the dem side. It's a done deal.

15. Did not hear anything like that from Brokenjaw...but not watching that closely.
I can say, however, good ol' Tommy was acting like he had a corncob shoved up his butt sideways....so maybe that was an admission that it is over?

16. MTP: "I don't know anyone who thinks it's going well for McCain."
John McCain is being forced to defend his base, without a consistant narrative.

John Harwood on meet the press

Brokejaw tried to keep the show going, because, if they just concede it to Barack in the first few minutes, show's over.

But, yeah. They didn't discuss anything like "It's neck and neck! Which poll is more reliable?"...etc. Who will win was not the discussion. It was about what the winner will need to do for the economy.

18. Late Edition Wolf Blitzer: "Are you already sensing that it's over?"
Opening statement after long piece on the economy. Carville uses landslide: Find answer in their party: What happened?

Tara Wall says 10% are still undecided, anything could happen. But also that his race will not hurt him.

Sanchez says it's the economy, and that will cost the GOP up and down ticket.

No one went out on a limb for gramps.
