Woo Hoo! My absentee ballot just arrived!
Very cool!

This will be my first time voting in a presidential election! How cool is that?

And I get to vote for one TRULY amazing candidate.

Barack Obama, you have my vote!

I got mine a couple of days ago, and just started my research. There are actually 4 ballots in this house that I am researching for. My 2 daughters are also voting for the very first time in this General Presidential Election! :woohoo:

6. Just started researching as well
It's difficult to find info on some of the local candidates (like trustees, etc), but regardless I'll be voting straight party. The district I got mine from is fairly conservative so there are a bunch of damn republicans on the ballot. There isn't a chance in hell I can stomach voting for ANY republican.

I sometimes think it would have been cooler to have been able to vote in Portland, where I'm staying at right now...I'm guessing it would be the opposite, where most of the local candidates are Dems and there would be a million crazy ballot initiatives! The interesting thing is, it's all vote by mail in this great state.

Voting absentee is great. I really like this, because it's so convenient. No lines to deal with for one...And I can just focus on election results on Nov 4th. Since I'm on the west coast, I'll leave work around 3:30 for sure, so I can catch the results starting with IN...Hopefully the night will end early (meaning, before 8 pm for me) and I can celebrate by then!

3. Got mine here in Australia last week. Sent it out on Monday . . .
They should have it by now. My polling place is in Texas, so I'm sort of doomed, but it still felt good. And maybe Noriega can knock off Cornyn.
