4. They teased that the lead was "back to single digits..." today.
Right they were, and I find it works much better if you imagine the hopes of GOPers nationwide rising upon hearing that, and then....

5. Supposedly someone from Gallup got on MSNBC this morning
and essentially threatened that there was bad news regarding Obama because his lead had shrunk to "single digits".

8. oh noes! Bad news for Obama!
I figured it would be something stupid like this when Gallup was pimping the single digits on tv this morning...remember when we were happy that Obama was 1 POINT ahead of McCain, after McCain's convention bounce?

11. Since the 9 poll average is Obama +7.5%, this is still above average
The below average have been coming up (except paranoid Zogby), overall the polls are narrowing in on a 7+ point lead - outstanding!!

12. stable the last week..
Especially when you look at all the tracking polls and average them out.

It appears the "pallin' around" strategy was dismal failure..evidenced by another strategy reversal by McCain. Polling is a possible suspect in the cause of that reversal.

The media is out to make a horserace-even out of statistical noise.

If we win by 5 points in the election, I'll be thrilled.
