Need Any More Proof Bush* Is Hated Around The World??
My apologies if this should be in a different Forum...I didn't know for sure if this oughta go in just plain General Discussion...or General Discussion: Campaign 2004. Feel free to move this, if not in the right place. I think it is, though.

Anyway, here's a place where those of us on DU who are NOT from the United States can vote for U.S. President....

http://www.us-election.com/wv-results.php?region=wor

Now, this will allow you to view current results worldwide, of votes tabulated. It will also allow you to view votes broken down by different world regions. Kerry is wildly, massively ahead almost universally, thoughout the world. The only exception is bush wins the region of The Carribbean (no surprise, Cuba is in this Region, and we all know Cubans are the only Hispanic sub-group who are Republicans almost to a man.) EVERY other region in the world, Kerry wins! Massively!

Go, our fellow DU'ers in other lands...go and make YOUR voice heard!!

Go vote for U.S. President!! Let's see just how hated Bush is, universally, thoughout the world!

Now, why do you suppose he is so hated?? Why, for the very same reason we "need" such a huge military!! Our foriegn policy of exploiting natives, and stealing their natural resources for the benefit of a few wealthy, well-connected cronies...is PISSING THE REST OF THE WORLD OFF!!

No, it is NOT our freedom, or our liberty the world hates us for...the terrorists hate us for...THEY HATE US BECAUSE WE HAVE ENSLAVED THEM!! FOR THE BENEFIT OF A FEW RICH AMERICANS!!

But for this...ALL Americans are targeted...because the world perception in the world is all Americans enjoy fabulous wealth at THEIR expense...their suffering, their oppression!

They do not see or even know that the VAST MAJORITY of Americans are, themselves enslaved, and not benefitting all too much from their oppression and slavery.

I'll hand you a pretty cynical axiom: The amount of expert, professional legal and financial help a person or business needs...rises in direct proportion with the number of people that person or business is screwing!! Credit Stephen King with this quote, it is directly from "Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redeption" in "Different Seasons" by Stephen King. The character Andy Dufresne is the one who utters these words, to Red.

From this follows the other axiom: The amount of military firepower a nation needs rises in direct proportion with the number of nations and persons they are screwing and pissing off! This is my own axiom, derived from the first...but no less true.

We are NOT hated for our freedoms...we are envied and admired by many for those freedoms, though I observe the rapidity with which these liberties and freedoms are being squashed in the name of corporate profits. We ARE hated for our foreign policy of ruthless exploitation of native peoples, and our selfish plundering of natural resources far out of proprtion with the percentage of the world's population we Americans make up.

I'm doing this off the top of my head, so I may not have the EXACT numbers, but I seem to remember something on the order of us americans comprising about 7% of the world's population...and consuming fully 25% of the world's natural resources! No fucking WONDER the world is pissed off at us!!

Anyway, go vote, world...let your voice be heard...Dubya is hated 'round the world!! WE already knew this, here on DU...but perhaps others not on DU will hear it, too. Make your voice heard, world, and vote for U.S. President!!

1. there are "real" polls about that

With much the same results. The problem is: Most people living abroad are not allowed to vote in the US election.
Also I have the feeling that closeness to the international community and a sane idea of foreign policy are spun into a disadvantage in this election - a very unsettling feeling.

2. The only problem
is that no one who likes Bush cares about what the rest world has to say. If they did, we wouldn't be in Iraq. The actual election? I think Bush would lose every country except Saudi Arabia and Israel and every demograhic group except occupational terrorists.

5. some site also lets US vote..not this one
some site lets the whole world vote, including usa.

that site has kerry getting two thirds, in usa voter's own choice. Not foreigners vote, but american's choice. Foreigners vote at some other spot on that site.

Must not be the site you linked to.. your link site would not let me vote.. no place there to vote!

Am i right? or did i miss the spot for americans to vote at your link?

6. You Missed It
I'm an American, and I voted on the posted site!

Click on Register Your Vote. Your Region is "North America."

When it asks what country you are from, the answer is "United States."

Don't look for it under "A" look for it under "U" on the scroll down list.

And cast your vote! that simple.

Ok, so this site includes Canada and Mexico in the "North America" region, meaning it does not break out America as it's own region...BUT, Americans damn well can vote in the poll I posted.

And currently, John Kerry has 72% of the vote in North America (which includes Canada and Mexico)
