They say that dogs are a good judge of character…
They say that dogs are a good judge of character…

So, I asked my dogs!

China Star, my black mouth cur hound said, “My ancestors hunted for food and I like to hunt but I don’t want a president that would support thinning the wolf population by shooting them from the air just for sport.”

Baby Girl, the Yorkshire Terrier said, “I want a president that will help fix unemployment and the mortgage crisis because as foreclosures continued and people are forced out of their homes, my friends are being abandoned. As jobs are lost, our caretakers cannot afford to give us the care we deserve.”

Daisy, the Chihuahua said, “I don’t want a president that doesn’t think a life is worth protecting. I heard that one vice-presidential candidate would not put the polar bears on the endangered species list because she wanted to strip the land of resources.” “Is that true?” she asked incredulously, “even if it means moving along a path that could lead to the bears’ near extinction?”

Maxwell, my serious, deep thinking Silky Terrier boy said, “I want a president that realizes that man needs other animals as much as the other animals need man. We all share the world. That’s not only the way it was meant to be but for all of us are to survive, it’s the only way it can be. We must take care of each other and our planet.”

Well, I guess that settles it. My dogs want Obama for president!

6. What a beautiful thought provoking sentiment:
"...man needs other animals as much as the other animals need man."

Maxwell is very wise. Really.

“I want a president that realizes that man needs other animals as much as the other animals need man. We all share the world. That’s not only the way it was meant to be but for all of us are to survive, it’s the only way it can be. We must take care of each other and our planet.”
