3. Voting machines without a paper trail -
I assume they will be manipulated. But how many of the voters will vote on such machines?

7. Naomi Wolf has a video on YouTube - did not watch all of it
They have pulled together a military group that is only answering to *ushco.

Some mention had been made if the bailout vote didn't go the way it was supposed to that martial law would be put into place. May 2007 *ush wrote himself a ticket to declare an emergency that NO ONE could countermand until he (the decider) decided it wasn't an emergency anymore and among the powers he granted himself was the right to declare martial law.

So now the asian stock markets are crashing and ours will pop too most likely.. and since rethugs place all their faith in money they will run around like crazy people and the rest of us will get locked up for voting DEM.

I'm being sarcastic about that last bit, but it's always SOME excuse. 8 anarchists at the RNC with a snarky plan and they arrested 800 including reporters and pacifists.

6. I just posted a GREAT interview of Stephan Freeman, in the Election Forum!
He explains the potential for election fraud, and what all has happened with this, over the last three elections. A BRILLIANT guy! I so agree with him!

The thing is, if the Corpo/facists let Obama win, for their own nefarious reasons, we MUST NOT go to sleep and think everything is okay. It isn't. The Corpo/fascists have the capability--the EASY capability--to steal future elections, with their unbelievably anti-democratic 'TRADE SECRET' code voting machines. They may have one disaster after another planned for Obama (with the financial meltdown just the beginning of many), then, bang, in comes Hitler II in 2012.

Read Freeman--and know that we still have a great work to do, for future generations of Americans and for ourselves--and, indeed, for the world--and that is the citizen rescue of our voting system from private, unaccountable, corrupt, evil, RIGHTWING, electronic voting corporations.

10. I'm not sure that they can count on the loyalty of troops,
if they try to steal the election. I don't think the troops are very happy about the treatment they have been getting lately. Dictator's have to cultivate the loyalty of soldiers with financial benefits and special privileges; Bush has treated them as if they are disposable pieces of machinery. In any case, the government will have lost all legitimacy if it has to rely on troops to coerce the population into submission, and all they have to do is refuse to fire on civilians for this coercive power to disappear.

Government power is a lot like the banking system: it relies on voluntary adherence to rules and norms, motivated in part by fear of sanctions. Once, the "habit of obedience" is lost, all hell can break loose. Let's hope it never comes to that, because it could take generation to overcome the damage to our society and system of governance.

12. I'm becoming worried about it, and I'm not a tin foil hatist.
Since the debate, I've heard people on both CNN and MSNBC bring up the Bradley Effect at least five times.

This makes me worry that the media is trying to find a way to play ball with election theft by coming up with a plausible "story" about why Obama "lost". I see no other reason to bring up the Bradley Effect other than to preemptively cover their asses.

While I agree with Carville's comments last night, I have a sinking feeling that the media is scrambling for ways to make a stolen election look valid.
