Gallup: Obama 51% McCain 42% (9 freakin points!!!)
I know this has been posted already but it is such great news I just HAVE to post it again! I want to leap out of my chair and dance down the hall of my office (but that would get me in trouble) ...

Barring something INSANE I do not see how we will not be winning this thing in November. There is just not enough time for McCain to take down a lead like that.

1. Before you start dancing too much......
1. There is 4 weeks to go. ANYTHING can happen. (Think Bin Laden video.)
2. We really don't know WHO shows up to vote on election day, the only poll that matters.
3. Three other polls, Zogby, CBS, and Hotline, show a tightening race. Only Gallup and Rasmussen show this wide of a lead.

Okay, hopefully now, no one is getting too complacent, long way to go folks, it's a VERY close race.

2. Now that you have that out of your system.
:eyes:

Look at the state by state polling. The national polls give us a good idea of the trend, and the trend is towards Obama, away from mcPOW. The state polls give us a good idea of the real state of the race, and it is not nearly as close as you suggest.

Obama is nearing 300 EV OUTSIDE the margins of error.
