McCain Will Be Crushed In Tomorrow Night's Debate For One Simple Reason
What's he gonna do, not look at Obama all night again and confirm what an asshole he is, talk shit about Obama for two days, calling him a terrorist, and then not look at him all night?

or...

Look at Obama this time, in which case it will appear that once again, he has been chumped by Obama, forced to do that which he does not want to do.

Owned. Or I believe the correct spelling is "pwned".

He put himself in this stupid position. One in which he cannot win. Surely he's figured this out by now.

He just might blow tomorrow night.

29. If McCain attacks Obama enough it can have a corrosive effect.
Edited on Mon Oct-06-08 10:55 PM by breadandwine
Watch the media go gaga over McCain "EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS"!!!!!!

Nixon said "When you have said something so many times that you are ready to puke, that is the first time people will hear you."

If McCain keeps at the attacks and if the Republican 527s keep at the attacks, even if McCain loses in post-debate snap polls, it could still eventually wear Obama down as more and more voters begin to wonder about it. After all, THEY SAW IT ON THE TELEVISION!

And Obama has a video on the net about the Keating 5. But McCain is attacking in paid ads, which I think is much more cutting.

30. I really think this election is being distilled down to temperament.
Obama has proved his mettle throughout this campaign. He's shown he is capable, smart, disciplined, and organized. McSame not so much. I'm really getting the feeling that ugly is so 2004 and that Rovian tactics just don't have the zing they used to. Plus Obama has given the green light to 527s. Obama is cash-flush and armed. It's going to be brutal and the GOP so has it coming to them.

38. But, AtomicKitten, the elephant in the living room is McCain's temperament.
He basically goes berserk, but the Obama campaign doesn't have the guts to bring that up. Just look at Biden in his debate. He couldn't help saying how he love, love, LOVES John McCain. Only one side is going after character and that's McCain, besmirching Obama's character etc.

2. The current economic situation is going to "damn" McCain...
to a defeat next month!

It is only just, seeing that McCain is a believer in the anti-regulation policies that have caused this horrible debacle that is hurting the global economy.

33. "John you sat at the meeting with congress and the president about the bailout and said Nothing!"
"I asked you to take a position, to help us get it passed, and you refused to do so. Everyone in the room saw it, John. Should we ask those there to describe how you did nothing when faced with this crisis?!"

To his face. Remind the viewers that McCain has hired the very same character assassins that Bush used on him in 2000. Expose him for the soulless bastard that he is.

There's no way around it, after the negative press about it last time. Problem is, I don't think he can without all of his hate just pouring out. Every time he looks at Obama he's going to get a little angrier.

I expect a McCain blow up tomorrow. A big one.

Nobody likes a two-faced backstabber. He can't win!! That's some strategy his campaign has. They must think about two minutes ahead. More proof he's not fit for the office.

15. I have a feeling, that the last two days...
...have been the McCain camp engaging in psy-ops against Obama, in an attempt to
throw Obama off his game in the debate.

McCain figures that he can piss Obama off, get him thinking that McCain will
attack him incessantly in the debate--and force Obama to focus most of his
debate-prep energies on defending himself against attacks.

The McCain camp is trying to rattle Obama's cage and throw him off.

I'd bet anyone $100 that sweet, kind, affable John McCain shows up
and that he doesn't mention one bad word about Obama's scandals, Ayers
or the other attacks. I bet McCain tries to be 'above board' and look
Presidential--thinking that it will throw Obama off. Maybe McCain
will announce some new economic plan. He'll be as nice as pie.

This is a town-hall-style debate. No one would try to attack like
a wolverine in an intimate setting like this, especially when voters
are asking the questions.

I know Obama will be prepare for this, and he will kick McCain's ass
up and down the court (so to speak).

everyone in the Senate is like a big family... they all know their dirty business, and such.

McCain knows that Obama knows what an asshat he really is, and looking at him would cause him to lose his game face.

I doubt the radical right would stick with him after such a temper tantrum.
Even his strongest supporters would have to say enough and give up on him at that point.

Can you say "50-state Shutout"? I'm personally looking forward to going on Huffpost and seeing an entirely blue map.

26. Agreed McShame will be in kindler and gentler mode
trying to spin his lame ass stories about his "friends" that he has met, employing his P.O.W. shield, saying he knows how to fix everything from a bike chain to a broken heart but never offering the slightest clue how, lying his ass off, and lamely propping up his failed policies and philosophies.

That or he refuses to acknowledge Obama and then announces to the Town Hall that he must have straight talk with the audience and advise them he will not make nice with "a friend to terrorist and agents of intolerance" and spend the rest of the night Palinating all comers and going back to this hostile and weak attack.

32. McCain intends to challenge Obama directly, to show how tough McCain is.
He will attack. He will use strong language and try to put Obama on the defensive.

I believe Obama will be much better at such sparring than McCain. He will play off McCain's lies, call McCain on them, and then slice and dice him. McCain will become frustrated, accustomed to his crowds that respond well to his stump lines. This audience will not be responding well to such things.

These are supposed to be undecided voters. They want to know about the economy, health care, and be assured the war in Iraq is ending. They should not respond well to McCain's attack mode, or his pro Iraq War stance.
