"We are looking forward to turning a page on this financial crisis..."
McCain adviser Greg Strimple recently predicted "a very aggressive last 30 days" of the campaign.

"We are looking forward to turning a page on this financial crisis and getting back to discussing Mr. Obama's aggressively liberal record and how he will be too risky for Americans," he said in a conference call with reporters.

This is as bad as "The fundamentals of the economy are strong".

Out of touch, out of ideas and running out of time. They are sinking fast.

3. When was the last campaign that was run this badly? I'm thinking Election Day might be a blowout!
If McCain/Palin keep up this tin-eared campaigning, maybe 4 weeks from now, Texas will be in play. Who knows?

5. mcPOW hasn't spent a cent there,
Obama has offices. Who knows what can happen in four weeks. I'd be shocked, but stranger things have happened.

6. Palin used the F word in her speech today...

That's right... "Fear."

She used it to describe an Obama Presidency.

Once again, fearmongering is identified as the last refuge of the desperate.

Obama's camp should raise the issue of how John McCain wants to be remembered -- as a dutiful senator who served his country for decades or as a sore loser who would stoop to anything to win, even embracing the folks who called his adopted child a bastard.

I think "destroying his legacy" is a mantra that might actually give McCain pause at using these scorched earth tactics, even if it doesn't sway any voters.

9. Gosh, that's a really good point.
McCain is destroying his legacy.

And Obama -- or at least his surrogates -- should bring that up.

11. It's a better point now that I corrected "speach."

I hate it when a brain fart detracts from a salient point.

12. I've always disliked the Arizona Racist Senator
But I have been shocked to see him trash himself and his former reputation so fully in this campaign. He has redefined himself as a nasty person.

7. Not gonna work, boyos--in case you didn't notice, the Dow dipped below 10K.
You can't escape this, John--you can't escape your complicity in this whole mess by bleating about some mythical friendship between Obama and a guy he met twice who happens to have a particularly shady past.

10. Or de-unsuspend his campaign?
It's funny how it was so crucial for him to "suspend" his campaign a couple weeks ago, and now that things are getting worse, you hear nothing about it. What a gimmick.

You don't win elections by running your support to 80% in Pennsyltucky and alienating everyone else.
