My LIFE, damn you!

When I go out with friends, I'm thinking about Electoral Maps. At work, I can't stop glancing at polls. On the phone with my mom, the only thing we talk about it our mutual dislike of Sarah Palin. I've volunteered for the campaign before, and may certainly do it again in the near future...

And when I'm home, naturally--I'm HERE!

I'm turning into a DUholic. Maybe I can quit cold turkey for a week, without going into Withdrawl. It's worth a shot...

See you all next Monday,

Bicoastal

PS--Anyone else feel similarly?

8. I keep telling myself,
"Just five more minutes. Just five more minutes & I'll get up & do the laundry." Or whatever needs doing. And next thing I know, it' been 90 minutes!

A break is always good. I got a new ISP about 6 weeks ago & was without internet for 8 days! The first two days were hard, but after that it wasn't so bad. The worst thing was not having DU & other sources to verify how badly the MSM was misrepresenting the news. ;)

Good for you & good luck! You'll be surprised at how much you get done! Report back with a list of all you did.

12. Yes that's me.
I want the Democrats to win this time and I want to do as much as I can. But I don't want to alienate people around me that don't care about politics at the same time.

I think I am going to have 2 days out of the week where I ignore politics.

16. I am going on the DU diet, the day after the election
I am so sick and tired of it all now.. Been at this hard time since July of 2007, so while for some they are just getting into the meat of it all, the campagin, being an Iowan, I am ready for a break..

BUT BUT BUT.. I have to check in at least twice a day to catch up with all the articles.

So I will do my 12 step program starting November 5th, yeah thats the ticket

But But But then I have to wait and see how they try an muck it up (the republicans) in a hissy fit after they lose..make that December 5th..but but but

There is the inauguration..then the state of the union.. make that April 1st 2009.. yep that is when I will step back..

:)

Good luck on staying away.

On 11/05, when we have Obama as President-Elect, we can all go outside into the fresh air and sunshine with the promise of healthier tomorrow for all of us.

It's like ya gotta get de-wired before trying to get some sleep. Anyway, I think I know how you feel.

24. It is life consuming but we've waited 8 long years.
You should have seen me in 2000, oy vey..I didn't have DU then. Just the crap corporate media news. DU is why I got a computer even though I was overwhelmed at first..I got better and can actually type pretty fast now:)

There's all kinds of degrees by how people react to our upcoming election and no matter how hard I try not to be so obsessed..it's a losing battle. I'm there.

It's a good thing, imo. YOu'll be rewarded for your consummate behavior.

which is going to mean very little sleep for the next few days, with work and school. I have a serious addiction here, I LOVE this site.

Oh also I go to Wash U in St. Louis and we had a little bit of distraction there this week!

I heard "crunch, crunch, crunch, rattle, rattle" while I was at the keyboard, turned around and all I saw was the dog's butt sticking OUT of the dog food bag. Whoops.

There's a first time for everything, but she does have a way of getting her message across. I fed her before I turned on my computer. Still not talking, however, ....
