Fox News Snags Palin’s First Post-Debate Interview

<snip>

UPDATE: The first segment just aired, and Palin offered some harsh criticism for Couric.

“Honestly, the Sarah Palin in those interviews was a little bit annoyed, because it’s like, ‘Many, no matter what you say, you’re going to get clobbered. If you choose to answer a question, you’re going to get clobbered on the answer. If you choose to try to pivot and go on to another subject that Americans want to hear about, you get clobbered for that too.

“In that Katie Couric interview, I did feel that there were a lot of things that she was missing, in terms of an opportunity to ask what a V.P. candidate stands for, what the values are represented in our ticket. I wanted to talk about what Barack Obama increasing taxes, which will lead to killing jobs. I wanted to talk about his proposal to increase spending by another $1 trillion, some of his comments that he’s made about the war, that I think may, in my world, disqualify someone from consideration for Commander-in-Chief.”

1. jigga what??
If you "choose" to answer a question? She's mad because Couric didn't ask her to repeat the stump speech? She comes off as so shallow.

2. In other words, "I should never have to do an interview where I can't drive the question line"
I'm sure people like Putin and bin Laden would really give a shit when she says they aren't being fair to her.

3. You could also give a truthful, intelligent answer.
But than again, that's only what smart people would do. :P

She thinks she has choice not to answer a question or to talk about something
totally different because she "knows what the American people think?"

:puke:

They are called interviews not say what ever the fucking you want to gab time.

7. And yet, if she answered them well, they'd be hailed as Getting to Know You questions
isn't that what she relentlessly harps on about? Get to know me, etc?

These were perfect questions to reveal a human portrait, a fuller sense of her person, her experiences, etc.

The fact that anyone can even fake sincerity in criticizing questions of this nature says everything that needs be said.

I also love her use of "pivot," like it's some experienced, highly technical maneuver she might execute at any given moment. It's called fleeing from the question because you have no answers. It's not a maneuver - it's just manure.

9. the presidency is about answering questions
That's the job. You have to be prepared to answer the question even if it hurts you to do so. That's putting the country first.

10. Now you can see why she and McCain are so afraid of diplomatic talks
They are unable to discuss anything with people who don't lob them easy questions to answer. If an American journalist like Katie Couric can throw them into such confusion, imagine what the Spanish prime minister could do? He needs pre-screening to make sure he only asks friendly questions. As for Ahmadinejad, well, it's obvious that if you let the prez or VP talk with him directly, he'd be able to hypnotize them and then force them to nuke the US themselves. Or something like that.

11. She won't answer questions. Hubby won't recognize subpoena.
Her party won't support and depend the Constitution. What else is there to know?
