Poll question: Who is a better debater: Obama or Biden?
Don't hate on me--debating has nothing to do with Presidential skillz, and I still contend (like most people) Obama won his debate soundly.

But Biden is simply better at playing the game. He's a pro.

1. Biden, but...
he's more experienced. With his rhetorical skill, Obama's on track to become a monster among leaders.

2. It's hard to say at this point. Biden was in a unique situation
tonight. Biden probably has more zingers.

4. I think Obama...
would probably be the more frustrating to debate of the two. Seemingly unflappable.

5. I refuse...come on now. It's like having Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X on the ticket.

Or even JFK and Bobby Kennedy on the same ticket. They come from different avenues. One appeals to the serious passion, anger and frustration and rally us to stand together. The other tries to calm the emotions and lend a reassuring avenue but rally to stand together.

Same end, but different outlooks and performance with the same result. They speak for us and represent fully at the same time remind us of our responsbility to our brethren and a better future.

11. I totally understand, and that's why I made that an option.
In the end, it'll matter very little. Just a little exercise in objective thinking.

6. Biden is good, Obama is very good though
McCain: I'm not prepared at this time to cut off aid to Pakistan. So I'm not prepared to threaten it, as Senator Obama apparently wants to do, as he has said that he would announce military strikes into Pakistan.

We've got to get the support of the people of -- of Pakistan. He said that he would launch military strikes into Pakistan.

<...>

OBAMA: Nobody talked about attacking Pakistan. Here's what I said. And if John wants to disagree with this, he can let me know, that, if the United States has al Qaeda, bin Laden, top-level lieutenants in our sights, and Pakistan is unable or unwilling to act, then we should take them out. Now, I think that's the right strategy; I think that's the right policy.

And, John, I -- you're absolutely right that presidents have to be prudent in what they say. But, you know, coming from you, who, you know, in the past has threatened extinction for North Korea and, you know, sung songs about bombing Iran, I don't know, you know, how credible that is. I think this is the right strategy.

8. the guy at the debate party said
He thought Biden came off better than Obama did. Then again look at who he debated against. McCain is way better than Palin.

10. Honestly, neither is truly gifted at debating. All they have is substance & wisdom.
Any ol' dumbfuck can win a debate when they're right on the facts and their opponents are delusional ideologues. On style points, Hillary Clinton may be the strongest debater I've seen in my life. I supported Biden, then Obama, for the nomination--but Clinton blew them both out of the water. It would've been a pleasure to see her make a hash of John McCain.

12. Since Biden won all primary debates he participated in, it's an easy call
Nothing against Barack, but Biden really excels at the format

13. Biden - it's tough to do so well against such a bad opponent.
But Obama was great against McCain and that's what will count on election day.
