Palin Blanks
http://politicalwire.com/archives/2008/10/01/palin_blanks.html

Here's a partial transcript of the latest from Katie Couric's interview with Gov. Sarah Palin that aired on the CBS Evening News tonight:

COURIC: Do you think there's an inherent right to privacy in the Constitution?

PALIN: I do. Yeah, I do.

COURIC: the cornerstone of Roe v Wade

PALIN: I do. And I believe that --individual states can handle what the people within the different constituencies in the 50 states would like to see their will ushered in in an issue like that.

COURIC: What other Supreme Court decisions do you disagree with?

PALIN: Well, let's see. There's --of course --in the great history of America rulings there have been rulings, that's never going to be absolute consensus by every American. And there are--those issues, again, like Roe v Wade where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So you know--going through the history of America, there would be others but--

COURIC: Can you think of any?

PALIN: Well, I could think of--of any again, that could be best dealt with on a more local level. Maybe I would take issue with. But you know, as mayor, and then as governor and even as a Vice President, if I'm so privileged to serve, wouldn't be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it reads today.

2. Miss South Carolina made sense.
I mean, seriously, as screwed up as the poor girl got her statement, you still knew what she was trying to say.

Palin doesn't. have. a. clue.

4. In theory, you can agree that there's a right to privacy, but that it doesn't apply to "Roe"
For instance, if you go by the doctrine of Original Intent, as many conservatives do, it's perfectly reasonable to conclude that "all men are created equal" as originally written means that the related foundational documents of the Republic recognize none of the rights of citizens to women. Men have a right to privacy, so they can have abortions. It's just women who can't.

See? I can think like a Republican too!

5. This is what is so disturbing about her
On such a fundamental level, she doesn't know anything!

She can't even think critically enough to try and know the facts. How can we have a VP who doesn't know how Law or social sciences or economy or war treaties, etc basically WORK???

She is a weather girl who is being asked to anchor a netowrk newscast...and not in a quirky funny way.
