She doesn't know Dred Scott?
I'm amused by the posts about what Gov. Palin doesn't know about the Supreme Court, that she seems exclusively focused on Roe v. Wade, without knowing other rulings pertaining to reproduction. However, I am surprised that she could not bring up Dred Scott, which Bush infamously brought up in the 2004 debates. Many of us were caught unaware that Dred Scott was fundamentalist code for abortion: the denial of humanity to the unborn being compared to that of a black man. As much as she seems politically naive to us, I wonder how deep her conservative credentials are (that she had not thought deeply or creatively about issues that interest conservatives.)

11. It says she'll be a president like Bush
She is interested only in projects that would create a conservative ideological society and would tune out on the daily matters of governing.

13. The first words I heard about this chick
were that she has little interest in policy or Administration.

The first thing I heard her say that wasn't a prepared speech was that she hadn't really thought about the Iraq War but her son was about to be deployed.

I knew we were in for a 100% Manchurian ride. You simply shouldn't hold any public office with no interest in policy, could care less about the work of Administration, and haven't thought about Iraq.

You might find someone with a pulse that is in the same boat but I doubt they are making a run for the White House or even the City Council.
I promise you that this woman would have a 0% chance of being elected to the dizzying heights of a class officer of my high school, at least in my time. Of course we were a bastion of liberalness (and I hope it still is), Reagan wouldn't have won there in his heyday.

21. I wonder if she really even knows Roe v. Wade
She probably just knows it as that evil pro-choice abomination. I wonder if she has read it and knows its provisions including the "zone of privacy" resting upon the 1st, 9th, and 14th amendments to the Constitution and especially the 4th amendment ("the right of the people to be secure in their persons").

26. Sheesh!

As a governor, and boss of the chief law enforcement officer of Alaska, the attorney general, she didn't even reference Miranda v Arizona?

Every high school kid knows about Brown v the Board of Ed, Dred Scott, and Plessy v Ferguson -- at the very least.

And any yahoo who ever watched TV knows about Bush v Gore.

What a total idiot!
