New National Poll (Just released) Kerry 46% Bush 45% Nader 3%
Edited on Thu Sep-02-04 10:17 AM by WI_DEM
This is from American Research Group, a pretty reputable firm.

Kerry 46
Bush 45
Nader 3

A month ago it was 49-45 Kerry. Yes, Kerry is down, but Bush isn't up. They moved to the undecided column. We can woo them back.

This poll was taken Aug 30- Sept 1--so right in the midst of convention week.

4. I remember when I was campaigning in NH.
I was there from Christmas to New Years. People were telling me that they wanted to vote for Kerry but were unsure about some things. That changed as soon as Kerry cleared up some things.

8. people may say Nader now,
but not vote for him in Nov.
If you look at 2000, he was polling at 5-6% and got 3%.

I don't expect to see him get over 1% nationally this time, BECAUSE of what he is polling at now.

Republican's who can't bring themselves to vote Democrat are considering voting for Nader. If Kerry can get his message out above the mud, these disenchanted righties may be swayed. But, I agree, Nader is not much of a factor in this election. EVERY person I know who voted for Nader before is voting for Kerry.

11. If republicans will vote for Nader
Nader will actually be stealing votes from Bush, not Kerry.
LOL. After all the trouble Republicans went in to put Nader on the ballot, seems like karma to me.

9. Great link - the Pres' disapproval ratings are also a sight to behold
Bush Job Approval Ratings
9/1/04 Approve Disapprove Undecided

Overall 45% 48% 7%
Economy 43% 51% 6%

The "approves" are still unconscionably high, but still well below 50%.

17. No shit. Nader didn't get 3 percent last time around.
He got 2.7 percent and I don't know of ANYONE (except maybe Nader) who voted for Nader last time that is voting for him again.

Edited on Thu Sep-02-04 11:17 AM by maine_raptor
the last date of those state polls on that same page. If they are doing a "national" poll, why no update of those numbers. The last I checked several of them were still in the union.
