I think Obama is really worried about being labeled 'the angry black guy'
I think that may be why he backs away from really going on the attack. The question is how much of a gamble is it?

3. Look, to win this election Obama has to convince millions of
white Americans (older ones) who were raised in an era of bigotry and intolerance that makes today look like the Rainbow Nation to vote for a black man. He is doing a great job with that task.

4. I disagree. I don't think he's worried about any of that
Obama is masterful at keeping his emotions in check while showing the more serious side of him.

6. i think there's a difference between someone who breathes fire
and someone who creates heat using laser-like precision. McCain gets angry and grumpy and you can tell when he gets mad.

Obama focuses on points like a lazer, and that creates heat on the person he's addressing.

It's a very hard thing to do, but Obama does it well.

8. It's part of being above the fray - being presidential
possessing an air of dignity and self-control that McAnus couldn't buy if his life depended on it.

His race doesn't matter as far as I'm concerned; I want the president to be composed - not given to fits of rage.
