McCain screwed himself by making a show out of pulling out of the debate
Now because he pulled this stunt of saying he wouldn't go, EVERYONE will be watching tonight when he doesn't show. And then next week everyone will be watching Palin.

Had he just stayed quiet, this debate would not be a huge, big thing. It'd be your average Presidential debate.

Thanks McCain!

1. This is what a McCain presidency would be like.
He leaps about from one position to another like a crazy man. (Remember the "commission" he wanted to study the economic meltdown? That lasted about an hour.) He's acting like a balloon that's been blown up but not sealed and then let loose in the living room. Maybe he's trying to present a moving target.

McCain is revealing himself to be a reckless, irresponsible, immature flyboy who never grew up. He and his airheaded partner are a disgrace and an embarrassment to all thinking Americans. We already look like a nation of idiots to the rest of the world, and this merely confirms their suspicions.

2. yep, major misstep by McLame
if he had simply concentrated on a noble solution for the bailout, he "might" of gotten somewhere. But tying it into showing up at the debates just made him look scared and stupidly political, making his bailout shit look stupid and political, and for good measure, undermined his VP pick by making it look stupid and political. Gives great political cover for any critics to slam him without getting into a financial lecture.

The worst run campaign in US history.

3. and just think, without McLame, Obama has a 90 minutes of national media
time to discuss his platform.

McLame's antics are self-destructive. Makes one wonder whether he really wants this or not.

5. Exactly.
He was trying to distract from a bad news day, after a bad news week, and the latest bad performance by his bad VP pick, and it backfired.

6. If McChicken wasn't trying to run his own campaign, he might look less like a dufus.
He's not the right guy for both jobs... someone else should be in charge of the campaign. Obama, on the other hand, can multitask.
