THURSDAY: Kerry, Edwards Sprint Out of the Gates with Midnight Rally in Ohio

DETAILS:

On Thursday, Sept. 2, Democratic nominees John Kerry and John Edwards will join their families at a midnight rally in Springfield, OH. Starting just minutes after the close of the Republican convention, the rally will focus on the Kerry-Edwards plan: "A Stronger America Begins at Home."

While the Republicans in New York chose to conceal the failed Bush record and the president's misplaced priorities for the next four years behind misleading attacks, Kerry and Edwards have a real plan to build an America stronger at home by creating jobs, cutting taxes for middle-class families, lowering health care costs, moving America towards energy independence and making our country safer and respected in the world.

Following the rally, Kerry, Edwards and their wives will split up to storm through the battleground states of Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan on Friday and Saturday. On Labor Day, the Kerry and the Edwardses will be back out on the trail headlining Front Porch events, talking to voters in battleground states. Democratic Party supporters around the country are also holding Front Porch discussions in over 25 states and 50 communities.
