"McCain Looks Like the Shaper of Events, Obama Looks Like the Victim." Talk me down.
Quote from Roger Simon, of POLITICO, on Hardball.. who has spent every minute of this show SLAMMING Obama. The other guest/side? PAT BUCHANAN !

Shuster is doing NOTHING to balance this out. Simon stating that no one cares if they debate; "the people want a deal" and "these guys are drawing Senate salaries, they need to be DOING THEIR JOB." Then made the comment about Obama being a victim.

Now McCain is refusing one debate, but demanding TEN townhall meetings?

What kind of stinking alternate universe are we living in?

7. Yes ! In an interview with Brian Williams when Williams asked him if he'd be at the debate tomorrow
tonight, he said he didn't know (isnt THAT Presidential?!), but "hope Senator Obama will meet me for TEN townhall meetings, which he has so far refused to do."

Why the fuck hasn't a talking head called him out on that bullshit??? Plus, McCain got a what, three month general election campaign advantage over Obama? And he STILL chose his dumb ass VP at the last minute.

Obama should agree to ten town halls as long as they are
held in ball parks or football stadiums.

4. Insane. I guess if they ALL come down hard on McLoser, the election will be
pretty much over, so some people are appointed by the networks to play devil's advocate.

13. We've been stuck in recent elections with the corporate newsmedia we HAVE, not the
honest news reporting organizations that any free country NEEDS to sustain its democracy.

17. Well now we all know Roger Simon is an idiot!
Add him to the list of pathetic journalists.

P.S. Roger, how does it feel to keep company with Bill O'Reilly, Shane Hannity, et.al.????

What a dismal pundit future you're going to have. So sorry for you.

19. He should be careful what he wishes for...
If the stock market tanks tomorrow because of McCain's stunt, it most certainly will put him in the 'drivers seat' for one of the biggest market meltdowns we've seen in our lifetimes. Given that a workable agreement was reached today and McCain put a monkey wrench in it I'd say he may not like that drivers seat.

23. Keep in mind that Simon has been proven wrong on all the networks
all day long. It's been very clear that the majority of people out there want the debates. Snap polls have been done and it's pretty clear. So he looks like an idiot for saying that.

He also thinks people want a deal. The polls are showing that people don't understand what the hell is going on and don't know what they want. The ones that are screaming for a deal are Wall Street and Bush*

I think Simon looked like a tool.
