Is it just me....But who thinks Obama pulled an "Okey-Doke" on McCain?!
I saw a lot of posts about this situation with the debates on Friday.

Now first I heard that McCain says that he wants to postpone the debates. Already people here were going crazy and saying he was weak (agreed) and the freepers were praising him. Like this plan was going to work out and work to McCain's benefit.

Then I see post after post of what Obama should say in response like, "We should be able to do both without a problem, that's what it means to be a president." This was right before I found out that Obama's camp called McCain's camp to go non-partisan on this and send out a message jointly.

I saw the CNN accounts. I saw and read all of the raking of McCain over the coals over this. Then it comes out taht when Obama made the call McCain waited 6 hours to get back to him and then said to the media that his postponement plan.

But this is the kicker...Then Obama comes out with his own statement and it looks like McCain went unilaterally and is avoiding a debate for fear and McCain's "playing politics". Now I consider Obama a political genius, not only for himself but also because of his team.

I just saw this whole thing as a set-up and I think the O-Team did all of this which makes McCain look like a loser all around. He looks weak and he can't pull a debate or he's scared of it. In relation to the plan he has a lot to lose. He can't be for bail-out since it's quite apparent the Republican team is not for the bail-out (especially as is). But him and Palin are running around saying a bail-out is necessary and McCain needs to make a decision that Obama made last week and with provisions.

Obama is on top of his game and McCain comes out even worse for wear. This is not to say I don't like it. It just makes me appreciate O and his team even more.

1. He played this brilliantly ... He let the PRESS ask him about the debate!
All he did was come out and relate the timeline, letting people
know that it was HIS call that started discussion about a joint
statement and that he was surprised by how quickly BombBomb announced
his campaign suspension/call to postpone the debate. He was calm,
he answered questions from the reporters and what made me MOST
impressed was when he said, in response to a question, "WE CAN
GET THROUGH THIS" while looking DIRECTLY INTO THE CAMERA, as
if speaking to the American people. He is a masterful politician;
I'll bet even Big Dawg is nodding his head and admitting Obama
handled this one PERFECTLY.

2. I thought so as well. When I saw him on the news and all the shenanigans.
I was like this guy is a chess master...and I'm talking about Shogi (Japanese chess). I've never seen moves like this before in my life.

First of all MSM loves him now because he hasn't tried to shut them out or up. He's always willing to answer their questions and his statements are clear and concise. Further more, as you said he laid out the timeline, others agreed with the timeline. It's all over the news it's his idea and McCain can't call another press conference to refute the timeline and as someone already branded a liar by the media and citizenry----McCain messed up big time.
