I think it's official; John McCain jumped the shark today.
Does anyone disagree?

This is possibly the most bizarre behavior I've ever seen in a political campaign.

The Senate doesn't want his "help" and the debate commission has called his bluff. Besides being bizarre, this has all the trappings of an epic fail.

Beyond foolish.

4. He tried to set a trap for Obama and wound up setting one for himself.
Obama turned the double-bind right back on him.

Not only that, McCain looks rash and overly dramatic and his campaign is officially "suspended" leading to the conclusion it's falling apart.

14. Lol. It's just crazy. So here he is, campaign suspended...
Headed to Capitol Hill without a clue of what's going on there, going to that debate whether he likes it or not...

It's just too hilarious. I am stunned that he set himself up like this.

15. This is the single dumbest thing I have ever seen a nominee for President do
This is dumber than Gary Hart's "follow me around" challenge. This is dumb on the level of picking Mooselini. This is dumber than Dukakis in the tank.

He thought he was being so clever, and O outfoxed him completely. If Grampy didn't remind you of Grandpa Simpson or Cotton Hill, before, he sure should now.

16. Yeah, unless the media completely rolls over for him, this is going to go very badly for him.
Especially if the media bothers to highlight that McCain has spent the last few days just chaperoning Palin's meet-and-greet at the UN and is delaying his return to Washington so he can speak at the Clinton Global Initiative.

If his presence is so critical, why isn't he flying back immediately?

25. And why hasn't he been in the Senate since April?
The Senate does seem to find a way to function without him.

I can't believe he walked into this.

BushInc could pull it off without setting themselves up for exposure. After today, how could a MAJORITY of people possibly BELIEVE that McCain pulled ahead?

...doing so without McCain voting for it will present a campaign issue Republicans can use against Democrats this year and for years to come.

But no time to debate. Wow. It is such an emergency that he's rushing to DC. Tomorrow. Late Afternoon. After a nice breakfast and a big speech event, for the first time in months. What kept him from going last week? Or today?
He's as dumb as a bag of Carly Fiorinas.
