Senator Hillary Clinton
will be on MSNBC's Mourning Joe today. I think that she has the ability to communicate exactly why it is important that the country elect Barack Obama and Joseph Biden in November. Hopefully, her appearance will help resolve concerns about if the Clintons are supporting our ticket, I understand some of the harsh things that were said about Bill Clinton yesterday, but I do think that both Bill and Hillary Clinton support Obama. More, I think that at this point, what Senator Clinton says and does is more significant than President Clinton.

If you are able to, watch the show -- at least that segment of it featuring Senator Clinton. I think it will put things in the proper perspective.

Thanks,
H2O Man

1. Sorry, I don't listen to those dumb asses - Morning "right wing" Joe and Mika, his enabler
All I can say is "she better" support Obama if she THINKS that she'll have any prayer of gleaning democratic support IF the Dems don't win the Executive Branch and HER UNDYING ambitions spur her to run in 2012.

Hillary, The American People are smarter than what your husband gives them credit for. :(

2. She's the good cop, and Bill is the "do I really have to do this?" cop
She'll be fine. She's the one who still wants to be the Democratic nominee for President one day.

4. They're two different people, who is saying it's coordinated?
Bill is his own man; we should know that by now. She had no control over what he did on the stump, and she has no control now. He hurt her then, and he's not doing her any favors now.

5. "Bill is his own (out of control?) man." Well if HRC wanted to be President EVER, Bill has ruined
that dream for good. BILL is HRC's spouse and "a part of the Democratic Team."

I'm DAMN sick and tired of defending "The Clintons" ... I did that throughout the 1990s.

IM (and many others) O, The Clintons Time for Presidential Dynastic Rule has come and gone.

Hey Bill and Hill, come JOIN THE TEAM or get the hell off of the playing field.

7. Opinions, like assholes, everybody has one. I love the Clintons
and they have earned the right to say anything they damn well want. Hillary and Bill are on board with getting Obama elected but it is never enough with some people. Some people, right here at DU, make it a 24/7 contact sport to knock the Clintons down and then keep kicking.

They have both done good jobs for the American people and yet, for some reason, the Clinton supporters are the ones who are called bitter and upset and are hurting Obama. I'm disappointed that Hillary isn't the candidate - I still feel like she is better than Obama (she wasn't my first choice, she came in behind several other candidates) but the primaries are over, Hillary isn't the candidate and I can live with that. The system is working (unlike the GOP side). I'm supporting Obama wholeheartedly but the people who can't seem to get over the concept that Hillary thought she would be a good president and decide to try for it are just petty and small minded.

It isn't the former Hillary supporters who are switching to McInsane in droves because of sour grapes - it is the pettiness and meanness of some Obama supporters that turn a lot of people off. Obama is doing a wonderful job campaigning. If he could just get the word to some of his supporters that Bill and Hillary can do a lot to help get him elected in November he would be doing the party a great service.

10. That's where we differ, I don't LOVE any politician. However, "the Clintons" have shown repeatedly
since 2000, that they are first and foremost for "the Clintons" NOT the democratic party nor the middle class.

I voted for Bill Clinton twice but the side of his character that he has been revealing since his Presidency has left much to be desired in both a former President as well as the spouse of a US Senator.

11. Pffffft! Again, just your opinion. I happen to disagree with most of what you have said.
I get it you don't like Bill and Hillary. Too bad, so sad the earth still revolves around the sun. I'm not sure what you are referring to of what they have "shown" of their character since 2000 but they will always be tops in my book. They are smart, strong people speaking for the Democratic Party and people listen to them whether you like it or not. Just because you don't isn't a real concern for me just like you don't care if I like them. But your going on and on about your hatred of all things Clinton speaks more about you than them.

12. I'd like to take
this opportunity to thank the two of you for the wonderful display of exactly what is not needed at this time. I really appreciate your efforts to hi-jack this thread, and turn an opportunity to have a serious look at Senator Clinton's appearance on MSNBC this morning into an obnoxious fight. There is such as shortage of this on the forum at this time!

13. Oh stop with the right wing meme: I don't like Bill Clinton, but Hillary is an excellent Senator
... Hillary's husband is one piss poor "supporting spouse" and plays the role of a *bitter* old politician INSTEAD of the statesman that he has the high intelligence to pull off. Too bad Bill Clinton's ego is too large for him to play an "emotionally intelligent" role for his spouse and his Country.

for it--and DOING it.

I don't love 'em, I don't hate 'em. Bill has been lackluster but he isn't sabotaging us. Hillary has been enthusiasticand clearly shows she's every bit her own person.

27. I disagree. No one has divided the Democratic Party more than some underhanded RW tactics and Dems
who fall for them.

I'm objective and judge things by what I observe. I'm not happy with Bill's lukewarm support but Hillary has surprised and impressed me several times.

by the many negative posts lately that the "Fuck Clinton, we don't need her" crowd is alive and well. Just singing a different tune now that the race is closer than anyone could possibly have imagined. Talk about your flip-floppers. McShame's got nothing on this crowd. Thanks.

"I think that she has the ability to communicate exactly why it is important that the country elect Barack Obama and Joseph Biden in November"

Bill Clinton also has this ability. But doesn't want to pull the trigger for some strange reason.

16. Senator Clinton was very good.
She noted that the American people have no reason to trust either the government or the Wall Street executives; she said that while there is plenty of blame for the economic crisis, that the Bush administration has utterly failed the people of this country; she said the important issue in the election is between which presidential candidate is better prepared to institute change; she deflected attempts to cause divisions by discussing if she should be VP, by stating that Obama made a great choice in Biden; and she said that she is telling her supporters from the primary season to ask not only which candidate they are for, but more importantly, which candidate is for them.

23. "...which candidate is for THEM." That's what she needs to say to her still-bitter ex-supporters
who have turned their backs on HER.

She's smart enough to know her future with the party depends on what she's doing now to support the ticket; besides that, I believe her heart really is in it.

About Bill I'm not so sure, but he isn't saying anywhere that he supports McCain so I'm not sure why all the fuss.

17. tell me what happens.
I can't bear to watch Morning Joe anymore...I remember even during a time of the primaries that I was angry with Hillary, I was horrified by how creepy Joe was to her! Calling her his girlfriend, his muse and such to her face....I'm sure she'll be very good on the show.

24. What really blows my mind about
Democrats or at least the ones on this board is how fucking much you whine about how evil the Clintons are (are you secretly Republicans?) and how they better do this or they better do that and then when they exceed YOUR expectations it's a big party at DU.

You folks make me want to stay home, no more phone calls, no more money. If you can manage to alienate your own what do you think you might be doing to voters that we need to win. Eh, you'll call me a bunch of names and stuff and not hear a goddam word...
