Here's what I loathe about cable news-Losing *the zone*
when I watched DNC on cspan a few weeks ago, I felt great! It was almost like being there, nothing to disrupt, no negative nay-sayers. And watching the protest parade this last weekend was also extremely enjoyable-I just felt good. But if I watch anything on cable news that I also enjoy, such as Kerry's speech today, some friggin Republican talking head has to come along and pontificate to spoil it. And almost always it's not about ideas, but includes character assassination while building up the personality of the challenger.

I don't want to close myself off to new ideas. But Cable News by its very nature is the antithesis of reasoned thought. And it's not pleasant to watch for any length of time.
