Palin: "You think this is just baby fat, right...It's some thick skin"

http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2008/09/sarah_palins_thick_skin_and_ap.html#more

On media criticism: "I was telling a couple of our campaign people the other day. I said, you see this? You think this is just baby fat, right, from having Trig four months ago. No, it's some thick skin in there also."

On criticism from women's groups: "Certainly I would love to have their support, but I'm not going to change my positions in order to get some of these groups and some in the media to try to woo them over. Don't have time to do that. We're moving forward on a ticket of reform."

On Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton: "I think Sen. Clinton had shown a lot of determination and stick-to-itiveness in her campaigns, and I have to respect that. I don't have to agree with all that she tried to push through and parts of her agenda. In fact, I don't agree with all of it.

"There are some things that Hillary Clinton did that nobody can take away from her,'' Palin says. "And that is the 18 million cracks that she put there in that highest and hardest glass ceiling in America's political scene. She was able to affect that and I respect that."

...

On Iraq: "Retreat is not an option. Retreat is defeat in Iraq.

"Al Qaeda, they're acknowledging even, along with Gen. Petraeus, that Iraq is the central front on the war on terror and the violent Islamic extremists who hate America would love that stronghold to be built in Iraq. If we were to lose there, we're not going to be any better off when we fight in Afghanistan either, nor the other areas where terrorist cells are growing across our world."

5. If she's so thick-skinned, it seems the campaign spent two weeks whining about bloggers
for nothing.

6. oh my god...
Retreat is defeat! And what baby fat is she even talking about? Maybe if she has thick skin, the McCain camp can stop pissing and moaning about the scrutiny.

11. HOW old is Trig?
Someone on a blog somewhere took issue with 4 months...just saying.

I wonder when they'll actually define "Reform"? I won't hold my breath. Sounds like everyone's supposed to stop asking questions and trust them to do what they say they're gonna do...whatever that may be, and you can bet they have no idea.

:eyes:

See you at the debate, Mooseburgers.
