Keyes calls Cheney's Daughter a "selfish hedonist"
http://www.drudgereport.com/flash6.htm

Alan Keyes, the Republican candidate for a vacant U.S. Senate seat in Illinois, said Tuesday that Vice President Dick Cheney's daughter Mary is a "selfish hedonist" because she is a lesbian.

His comments came during an interview with SIRIUS satellite radio.

Keyes said: "The essence of ... family life remains procreation. If we embrace homosexuality as a proper basis for marriage, we are saying that it's possible to have a marriage state that in principal excludes procreation and is based simply on the premise of selfish hedonism."

Asked whether that meant Mary Cheney "is a selfish hedonist," Keyes said: "That goes by definition. Of course she is."

1. I'm starting to get the idea that
Alan Keyes may not win a senate seat this year.

8. Well he won't be getting a check from the RNC for his campaign
I want to see Obama put the pedal to the medal with his campaign, to make it his quest to permanently cancel the political viability of Alan Keyes, to carry every county in Illinois.

gets 100% of the vote. It's not completely unreasonable to think it's possible.

16. I thought marriage was a contract
Having to do with property division, inheritance rights, power of attorney, etc.

The government doesn't certify baptisms or Bar Mitzvahs, so why should it be concerned with any other "sacred rite"

12. Here's my proposal:
any married folk who do not start cranking out spawn within 12 months of the wedding and keep it up annually, shall have their marriage annulled and then be imprisoned. For life.

14. Oh, and hey Mr. Keyes?
Are you seriously proposing that "selfish hedonists" of the homosexual persuasion be FORCED to marry a person of the opposite sex against their wishes?????????? Go suck an egg.

17. Hey, I got my toaster oven. Now where is the hedonism?!?!?!?!?
Do the math, Keyes.

A fertile woman might marry at 20, hit menopause at 50. So, 30 years of fertility, say.

So, let's say she wants two kids. So, you're talking procreational sex twice. In thirty years. Actually, in a lifetime. Thousands of weeks of sexual activity, and only two babies?

So, even the "ideal" married heterosexual couple is engaging in nonprocreational sex over 99.9% of the time.

Sounds wild to me! Hedonistic! </sarcasm>
