I hafta say, WHO THE HELL CARES!

The "leadership" may get per diems when they travel on Union business but for the local officials those times are few. To the rank and file it won't mean squat.

Is that the best they have?

my bf is IBEW - and he's on the road allt he time - per diems are what he eats off of. When he's back from Texas we're gonna have to a logn conversation about this stuff. If there's whisper campaigns he'd have heard them.

is the fact that McCain wants to tax health insurance benefits, which are now probably the most important benefit that unions negotiate.
