Personally, I don’t care for the show (thank you Elizabeth), but I know that there are people that get their information from it and after seeing Joy Behar on Larry King the other night, I made note to watch the McCain interview today. I had to chuckle at the number of times the cameraman had to switch off Whoopie and Joy rolling eyes at each other when McCain was speaking.
If you missed it, I would check it out. Or watch Monday’s show…not sure if they ever recap, but it was interesting how McCain skirted the issues (nothing new) until Whoopie began talking about the division between Church and State. Elizabeth then pushed a bit to mention Rowe v. Wade. He mentioned that if he were elected to office, he would create a “committee” to investigate Supreme Court decisions vice the Constitution. They tried to get him to say, he wanted overturn Rowe v Wade …but he wouldn’t…just said about “investigation”…to which Whoopie got this look on her face and asked if she needed to be worried that slavery be reinstated…
Then, of course, Cindy makes her appearance. But what bothered me the most is they discussed her humanitarian work and that she had just returned from Georgia (the one in the former USSR, not the one in the USA…lol) and she talked about the mean, ole Russians (to which McCain smirked) that have killed innocent women and children…
Screeeeeetch….
Whoa…what about the Iraqi women and children that WE are in a war with…that your husband says, My friends, I don’t care if it takes 100 years...we will not pull out of Iraq and have those soldiers come home without honor! Or is that just another GOP moment of “its different”.
In my feeble attempt of KO style, allow me to say…Excuse me, SIR, but these men and women that have been sent to a country under YOUR government’s false pretenses, will come home with GREAT HONOR whether they come home tomorrow, next week, next year…
I am SO gonna need high blood pressure meds before November…
