I've changed my opinion about John McCain!
Edited on Wed Sep-10-08 06:59 PM by Zenlitened
I no longer think he's a hapless little puppet of his own campaign team.

I see now that he is a willing, shameless little puppet of his own campaign team.

Thanks, Senator McCain, for opening my eyes today, with your clumsy, unconvincing effort to appear outraged over the lipstick/pig thing.

P.S. Acting is clearly not your thing, so don't quit your day job. Oh, wait... you already have: AWOL on just about every major Senate vote this year. But still cashing the paycheck we give you.

:puke:

1. And when the GOP complained about Kerry doing the same thing,
you responded how? People running for President miss Senate sessions. Obama and Clinton have also. It is an empty issue.

3. Horseshit. McCain sets a new standard for slacking off...
... and dodging tough decisions.

...Although little noticed by the traditional media, John McCain has a problem with his day job: He's not doing it.

Any way you measure it, McCain's performance in the Senate during the last year has been abysmal. He has missed 400 votes, far more than any other Senator (including Tim Johnson, who's recuperating from a brain hemorrhage). In May Ronald Hansen of the Arizona Republic referred to "his chronic absence in the Senate" as if the problem is well known in McCain's home state. Earlier this month he was the only Senator to skip the vote on the Medicare bill. At the time, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid publicly criticized McCain for his regular absences.

Here are some numbers:

John McCain has utterly lost his way. Any honorable qualities he once possessed, he has squandered. Any dignity he once had, has been tarnished beyond recognition. He is a sad, sad example of what happens to a man who puts political posturing over matters of right and wrong.
