Here's Obama's full quote about the lipstick:
Edited on Wed Sep-10-08 02:44 PM by jenmito
"John McCain says HE'S against change, too. And so I guess his whole angle is, 'Watch out, George Bush. Except for economic policy, healthcare policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy, and Karl Rove-style politics, we're really gonna shake things up in Washington. That's not change. That's just calling the same thing something different. But you know, you can put lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig."

Why is there even a QUESTION that this is about PALIN? He's talking about MCCAIN having the same old Bush policies! Yet the media, while most commentators (other than RW surrogates) acknowledge it's not a smear against Palin, they go on to say Obama shouldn't be talking about Palin and should concentrate on McCain. WELL, THAT'S WHAT HE WAS DOING! The MEDIA is talking about Palin with help from the McCain camp!

1. Don't even try to defend it
Say they're unhinged and kooky and be done with it. Obama's response this morning was perfect. You sound weak. Assert it.

8. I agree. But HIS surrogates should ALL point out that this wasn't about Palin. Just now,
a Dem. strategist, Morris Reed, was just on MSNBC and "agreed" that Obama should be concentrating on MCCAIN, not Palin. :eyes:

3. They're just overly sensitive, because deep down they know
very well that Palin really IS a pig.

So when the word is uttered, they instantly assume it's an attack on her.

And though Obama won't say it, I will. Sarah Palin is a backwoods, ill-bred, undereducated, controlling, arrogant and dishonest pig.

And I could have said a lot worse than that.

7. Excuse me? The entire Repiglican party is like a French pig searching for truffles.
Their cronies are engourged on government money (borrowed from China.)

Pig? Heck yes. Every single Republican is a pig with Porky McPig leading the way to the government trough.
