2. He is a Republican ...
Standardbearer and figurehead of the same party that has brought the nation to it's knees already ....

The GOP failed the nation, and McCain is their leader ....

4. Flip-flops
No coherent health plan.
No tax relief for the middle class.
Bigger tax cuts for the rich.
Failure of deregulation which HIS economic advisors created - Phil Gramm in particular.

8. He's doing it...McCain has supported Bush 90% of the time.
And I wish the Obama people would use the pic of McCain hugging Bush in future ads.

Hell, if people want to elect a man who is a cheerleader of an administration with a 20% approval rating, then they're irredeemably stupid. But as Obama has said, people aren't that stupid.

24. Here you go McCain attacks Bush and GOP along with Obama
McCain's strong point has always been that he is a maverick and he knows it, here's what he is doing
after kissing Bush's ass for 7 years.

9. Actually, attack his strengths. Attack his record of being a war hero by attacking him
on his lack of support for veterans' benefits. Attack him for being a reformer. Attack him for being a straight-talker. Attack him for his opposition to lobbyists. Attack him for being a Republican.

Just fucking tie McCain to the Republican failures of the eight past years.

15. TOTALLY agree about veterans' issues!
He didn't mention those issues AT ALL during his
convention ... And we have PLENTY of Iraq War vets
and veterans of prior conflicts who could make a
powerful ad against him for his stands since he
got out of the Hanoi Hilton.

Talk about forgetting where you've been -- BombBomb
certainly hasn't put his money where his mouth is
when it comes to issues facing our veterans.

20. Agree with you both.
A roundtable discussion...quiet and factual...with Obama or Biden listening to the vets voice their concerns and disappointment in how McCain has voted on bills which support vets.

Every time I hear about vets ruing over the idea that McCain has forgotten them, I think of the Vietnam guy who pulled him out of the water and died not long ago, disappointed that McCain forgot to mention his deed which saved McCain's life...such as it was at the time.

He probably wouldn't be running for POTUS if that poor guy hadn't performed his kind deed that day.

11. Rash decisions
Pigheadedness - Stubborness
Refusal to accept new ideas - more obvious in recent years
Insistence on taking risks (since boyhood)
Refusal to accept criticism
Out-of-date military ideas - this isn't VietNam, John
Flip-flopping on opinions and ideas
Out-of-touch on the economy
No following, except for Palin's new recruits

You know, if I didn't keep looking at the content of your question, I'd think I was listing Bush's biggest weaknessses. Oh, well! Same old/same old any way you look at it.

12. He CHANGES his mind too often lately ... What are we getting this time?
This is "Candidate BombBomb" not "Senator BombBomb"
as John Kerry pointed out. We can't TRUST HIM to
stay "the maverick" since during this election cycle
he has TOTALLY changed his mind, even on legislation
that he sponsored, just to get elected.

That's a chance WE CAN'T AFFORD TO TAKE THIS YEAR!

13. I'm listening to McCain on CNN as I type this . . .
He can engage Hillary and let her start throwing her "I will FIGHTS!" right back into McCain's face. He's totally lifted one of that woman's speeches. It's OBVIOUS.

Like her or love her . . . McCain doesn't have the passion or fight that Obama, Hillary, Edwards, Biden, Dodd - hell ANY of our candidates.

It's like he has fucking re-processed all of our TEAM'S speeches!

14. Impulsivity, anger-management issues, making "gut" decisions w/o information, voting with * 90%...
...of the time. I'd say all of those can be legitimately exploited based on McCain's current actions.

Past ethical issues (Keating 5, etc.) are possible but not as effective.

I don't think Obama will go for the low-hanging tripwires of his age and physical fragility, his dirty-old-man fascination with nubile younger females, and his pattern of memory lapses that may indicate incipient cognitive dysfunction.

But that doesn't mean that others won't grab for those.

helpfully,
Bright

17. McCain plans to tax health care benefits
I have no idea why Obama isn't using that, especially after all the lies McCain told about Obama raising taxes on the middle class. Perhaps Obama doesn't want to call attention to McCain having a health care plan. Hard to say.

21. His Flops
He's for ethics but was a member of the Keating 5. He's against torture but gave Bush the power to torture suspects. He's was against tax cuts for the rich before he was for them. He was against drilling before he was for drilling. What the hell does he stand for anyway?

28. McCain's own words
his saying Social Security privatization is necessary, his saying Social Security is a disgrace, his not knowing how many houses he has, his saying American workers wouldn't pick lettuce for $50.00/hr, Phil Gramm's "whiners" gaffe, Rick Davis saying the campaign is "not about the issues."
