2 Republicans told me today they are voting for Kerry because...
they can't bring themselves to vote for Bush. One old guy said he always votes Republican and he'd vote Republican again in November if the GOP would nominate one. He said he won't vote for a Fascist.

I seem to get a lot of Republican confessions in parking lots from people who see my MoveOn.org bumper sticker: DEFEND AMERICA, DEFEAT BUSH! and a few 'birds' from drivers with Texas plates. If they like him so much, they should have kept him!

Have you received any Republican confessions? I heard Tucker Carlson said he can't vote for Bush because he was a chicken sh*t on Sept. 11.

Bush is going to need every vote he got last time and then some. Sounds like he's losing a few to me.

1. Only ones I've heard were on cspan. Where did you hear Tucker
say THAT? Sometimes when he's on an interview or something he almost sounds human, but that comment????

2. Not surprised
I've met a few pro-Kerry Republicans myself. What I found even more amazing was while spending the weekend in the more conservative part of my state, Eastern Washington, was the number of Kerry/Edwards signs.

6. I think the granny-panty-waisted Tucker Carlson wrote that for Esquire

Can't read the bastard myself, as he's such a fookin' idiot.

He said something about Bush flying around scared on 9/11 while his wife and kids were in D.C. and in danger on the ground and that he just couldn't vote for a guy who showed so little courage.

10. I'm thrilled to hear this, but how much does Tucker matter?
Not much I would suspect, but it does indicate that another Pub jumped ship!

12. It may not matter to you or me, but we both know that Tucker has no guts
either. He doesn't want the GOP to beat up on him. So there must be some sense that he's not the only one on the 'right' to feel this way. I just love seeing them break apart. This is what Dems did when the party couldn't unite behind one candidate: chase our tails.

Now we're united, baby!

7. Bush appears to be losing the Promise Factor. The Odds Show Kerry has
a better opportunity to advance in the final outcome than does Bush.

Bush must turn to the unregistered non voter and the skeptic
"Undecideds"...

***THE UNDECIDEDS ARE THE ONES WHO USE LOGIC/REASON/ALTRUISM***

They take their time to study the pros and cons///

Bush has a better chance to hit on "Non Voters" ....Problemas remain
However....
Busdhies pictures are tainted and the sheep has been warned already....

9. Republicans for Kerry
Well, do my parents count?

They are registered Republicans (although in any state that allowed independents to vote in the primaries they would be registered as independents). But they both voted for Bush in 2000 and will vote for Kerry in 2004.

Moreover, from talking with their circle of friends and acquaintances they seem to think that opinion generally has shifted strongly away from Bush since 2000. Bush will almost certainly still carry South Dakota, but I get the feeling that it could easily be by single digits whereas in 2000 he won by 23% here.

11. I have given up on converting Republicans...
my view is they will either see the light and become Democrats, or they will not. But arguing with hardcore Republicans is counterproductive. I only talk politics with them if one ask me how I feel on an issue, but I no longer bring this up in conversations.

Working on Republicans takes time away from winning over independents and Democrats. If I want an independent to vote for Kerry, I explain how there is no check on the Republican Congress..and that electing Kerry will force this Republican Congress to moderate its agenda. When talking with Democrats I focus on educating them about our local candidates, and make sure they vote!

This is another benefit of liberal talk radio, for once we have people on the airwaves who will motivate and unite the Democratic base.

13. Long time Repub veteran from FLORIDA said yesterday voting for Kerry
"We've seen what the other man has done for 3.5 years, it's time to give someone else a chance" "we need a change".

Personally I think it's what Bush has done to veteran's healthcare that caused the change.

14. My 86 year old mother!
It took a LONG while to get it into her head that * was NOT the person she thought he was. Every time I'd try to point something out to her, she'd come up with an excuse for *. I think it finally hit her about five or six months ago. Not only is she voting for Kerry, but she also changed parties. She is the first Democrat in her family. My Mom says that my grandmother is turning over in her grave because of this. I said I think my grandmother was smart enough that if she were alive today, SHE'D be voting for Kerry too! :) :)
