I have a...'friend'...who keeps sending me emails about how GREAT Palin is. She has flatly said that I am the one lying about Palin. She says that McCain's campaign wouldn't allow Palin to misrepresent herself and that Palin has too much 'integrity' for that anyway.

I know it won't have much effect, but for my own ammunition I would like to get the lies in one place. So far I have the lie about the plane, the one about Ireland and her lying about a journalism degree. What else is there??

4. More debunking.... "Sarah who?"
Sarah who?

http://www.therandirhodesshow.com/index.php?/archives/74-Tuesday,-Septemeber-2,-2008.html

The hits just keep on comin! Perhaps “vetting” might have made sense here, but nothing McSame does makes sense.

Leave aside how many truly qualified Republicans McSame had to choose from, i.e. Governor Jodi Rell or Senators Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins and even Kay Bailey Hutchinson IF he wanted “ovaries” on the ticket, but choosing Sarah Palin without even KNOWING HER shows the kind of judgment that should scare the PANTS SUIT off everyone.

Sarah Palin didn’t even have a passport until she got a passport to go to Kuwait once.

She knows nothing about Foreign Policy - YOU know more about Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea, Russia and Pakistan than she does!!

She thinks Alaska should seced from the “union”

She was FOR the Bridge to No Where until she was against it

She campaigned for indicted Senator Ted Stevens

She knows nothing the American Credit Crisis, Free Trade, Immigration, Economics, Foreign Policy, National Security, Education, Health Care, Iraq, Iran, Russia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, North Korea or China.

She is under investigation for abuse of power (she had her brother in law State Trooper Wooten fired during a custody battle with her sister)

She was a sportscaster, a city councilwoman and mayor of a town with less than 10,000 people before she was elected Governor almost by default

She now claims “13 years of Elected Experience”

She claims to have MORE experience than Barack Obama and Joe Biden

She has served less than 2 years as Governor

She did not campaign with John McCain

She did not know John McCain

She hunts from airplanes

She is a radical Christian Right Winger who obviously does believe in choice “Bristol CHOSE to have her baby”

She thinks the Pledge of Allegiance was written by the Founding Fathers Francis Bellamy (1855 - 1931), a Baptist minister, wrote the original Pledge in August 1892. He was a Christian Socialist

She brought the issue of ABORTION into the Wasilla’s “Mayor” race (a non partisan job that pays $68K/year)

Her mother in law won’t vote for her.

She doesn’t know what the Vice President “does all day”

She has a son who won’t take a photo with her, a 17 year old daughter who is pregnant

She stayed in Texas determined to “give a speech” at the Governors Conference AFTER her water broke prematurely with a high risk pregnancy

She is married to a guy who had a DUI

She doesn’t believe Global Warming is real

She doesn’t believe in Evolution

She would be a heartbeat away from being the Commander in Chief of the most awesome military and nuclear arsenal on the planet

What is this about?

John McCain is a desperate man who will do anything to TRY to win an election including putting us in the hands of a patently unqualified HOCKEY mom.

So Monica Goodling wasn’t available???

5. One of the problems we historically have is that the enemy are prolific liars.

If you tell one lie; "I did not have sex with that woman", people can wrap their heads around it and summon some righteous indignation. If you build your entire career around lies, it's hard to focus on one.

Palin is all about the lies. McCain is all about the lies. It's their foundation, and paradoxically, it renders them somewhat less vulnerable. Voters trust in them isn't really based on expecting integrity or honesty.

Think about it this way, people see little difference between McCain, Palin or Biden in terms of integrity because Biden once cribbed a portion of a British politicians speech.

In order of traction, I see these issues as the ones we can use.
1) Palin is a secessionist.
2) Palin is half of a shitty parenting team, who slashed spending on developmentally disabled kids. She expects praise for her family choices, but believes that those choices should be government edicts. She wants to be that aformentioned government.
3) She's a philanderer.
4) She's callous. She fired people just to test their loyalty.
5) She believes in a rapists bill of rights. He should be able to unilaterally pick the mother of his children.
6) "Sport" is hunting animals from airplanes.
7) She's ignorant and she lies.

6. Obama’s Tax Plan Better for Working Families Than McCain’s
Obama’s Tax Plan Better for Working Families Than McCain’s

http://blog.aflcio.org/2008/09/04/obamas-tax-plan-better-for-working-families-than-mccains

by Seth Michaels, Sep 4, 2008

As the Republican Convention continued Tuesday night, former Sen. Fred Thompson (R-Tenn.) brought out a tired old talking point in his speech, one that Sen. John McCain and his allies have been pushing all year and that corporate interests have been trying to sell for decades. It’s the old “tax hike” scare.

Thompson and McCain are flat-out wrong when they allege Sen. Barack Obama’s proposed economic plan would raise taxes on millions of working families. In reality, his plan would give tax cuts to nearly all working families.

Source: The Washington Post

The Tax Policy Center has done intensive analysis of the two candidates’ tax proposals and their public statements and found that the majority of taxpayers would see more relief from Obama’s plan than McCain’s. The Washington Post has created a chart that explains exactly what each candidate’s tax plans would mean for different income levels, and the analysis points to stark differences.

Obama’s plan gives the biggest cuts to those who make the least, while McCain would give the largest cuts to the very wealthy.

There’s even a website, http://ObamaTaxCut.com, where you can calculate the estimated tax cut Obama’s plan would give you—and compare it to what you would see under McCain’s plan.

Obama’s plan gives tax cuts to 95 percent of working families. The overwhelming majority of taxpayers would see a bigger tax cut under Obama’s plan than McCain’s. As The Washington Post chart shows, 60 percent of taxpayers would get a tax cut three times as big from Obama as from McCain. That’s real money in the pockets of hardworking families.
