Politico's Roger Smith says the media should apologize to GOP ;)
With tongue planted deep in his cheek, Roger Smith wrote an article and sent it out to the GOP. It is pretty bad that the true media is now online, and it is sad that some people have no access to the true journalism.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — On behalf of the media, I would like to say we are sorry.

On behalf of the elite media, I would like to say we are very sorry.

We have asked questions this week that we should never have asked.

We have asked pathetic questions like: Who is Sarah Palin? What is her record? Where does she stand on the issues? And is she is qualified to be a heartbeat away from the presidency?

We have asked mean questions like: How well did John McCain know her before he selected her? How well did his campaign vet her? And was she his first choice?

Bad questions. Bad media. Bad.

1. I feel they are duly chastised - will Palin take actual questions now
or are her and mccain still hiding in the bus?

4. I imagine my son
who is member of the media, would like to join you in that request.

As a bitter old woman, I would like to tell mccain and palin to take a long walk on a short pier. I have no love for them, their policies, or their kind of politicing.

My favorite of the idealisms to come out of this is, if a young woman gets pregnant and not married, it is okay as long as she can afford to take care of the baby and not be a burden on society. Just poor girls should be socially/morally punished for getting pregnant while not married. Personally, I don't believe anyone should be 'punished' for this.

This type of thinking seems to be a lot like the old abortion rules, it was okay for a waman of means to get an abortion because she could pay the "sanitarium" to take care of her problem, or a doctor to open his back door after visiting hours. Perhaps this is why some of these people/women are so in favor of going back to those times. They are okay because they would still have their choice, but the poor woman would not and be under their thumb even more. JMHO
